Description

This is the free viewer for The Gospel Project. Once downloaded, you will be able to select the volumes available for purchase.† The Gospel Project invites Adults, Students, and Kids of all ages on a chronological, Christ-centered journey through the storyline of Scripture. Each week, participants will encounter God's plan of redemption in Scripture through study of Bible narrative, the essential doctrines of the faith, and the call to join in God's mission locally and around the world. Adults and Students study the same passage. Kids study the same passage where appropriate, but connector passages when more suitable to their level of biblical learning.† In addition to the session content, each volume features interactive study questions that are stored so that you can access your responses on multiple devices. You can also create highlights, bookmarks, and notes anywhere in the content. The app supports multiple translation Scripture pop-ups as well.

  • Ok, but has problems

This app is ok for me except an internet connection is required to open content even if it was previously downloaded. Also no way to send feedback other than the app store. Do they even read these reviews? I dont use any functions except to read the lesson.
  • Works well, needs updates

I’ve been using this app for over a year on an iPad to teach. I love not having to have a hard copy in order to study. I can pull the app up on my phone or tablet and study the content. Other Reviewers mention slow scrolling and crashing, but I haven’t experienced any of those problems on either device. I do wish the two devices would sync more consistently. Highlights and notes made on one rarely show up on the other. My biggest wish is that the app could be used in split screen on the iPad. I like to reword things and add notes, which is easier with a clean slate. I’d like to be able to see both the GP content and have a note taking app open to rewrite things.
  • My purchases are forever gone

I have returned to this app after a a year or two. The content I have purchased is gone and all previous gospel project lessons available for purchase are gone with the exception of the two most recent versions. This is utterly despicable and terrible business practices on life way' part not just because everything is gone but because with or without the content this is a terrible and clunky app. His is a different app from the previous gospel project if an app is this bad and lazily put together it should never make it to market. It's basically a PDF reader for the gospel project only it is the worst PDF reader I have ever used. The Gospel Project would be better off in the iBook or kindle store rather than this tragedy.

  • This is a Book not an app

This is a study guide for your phone or tablet. I like having this on my device instead of having to caring the book. It is an iBook app more or less.

The program stopped working after several sessions even though I purchased the quarterly materials
  • Glorified PDF

Having the words on your device does not make an app. Poor functionality. They could do and should do so much more for their consumers. This is nothing more than a pdf. I could actually use a pdf easier than this.
  • So Much Potential

Summary: This app has so much potential, but most of that is unrealized. There were new features implemented that were sorely desired, but are unusable or so difficult they are not worth it. Details: I was excited to see this new app, especially with the highlighting, note taking, and bookmarking features. Alas, this has been nothing but a disappointment. I can highlight - sometimes. The note taking? It doesn't work for me without a laborious process of guessing what is happening because the note disappears when I type. It is cumbersome to switch between lessons, though this may be due to the last point I will make in this review. The scripture tie in seemed like a grand idea, but I wish they had left it out. When I attempt to read the scripture from the teaching portion of the lesson, it shows the footnotes and subscripts/super scripts as the same size as the text, making this difficult at best. So difficult I choose to not use it. On this note, why not just tie this into Olive Tree or YouVersion? Last, and perhaps most frustrating, is the lessons scroll so slowly they make me want to quit using the app. I have to attempt to scroll over and over to get it to move. I was so hopeful for this app. Somewhere deep inside of me I am hoping Lifeway didn't hire this out and now do not have plans to update it. If these items can be fixed, this will be a very useful tool. Otherwise, it was a waste of money and time.

Very hard to use. Not worth the money. I can't find the lesson plans, only bible verses. In fact I do not recommend buying this app. Just use the book.
  • Please fix

The previous Gospel Project app was terrific. This one is terrible. The scrolling is the worst I've ever seen . . . so bad it renders the app unsuitable for teaching. Highlighting and note features are glitchy as well. I'd love to know if you have plans to fix the app or if I just need to plan on continuing to use the printed guide. Also, please bring back the awesome features of the previous app. I can't understand why you changed. Thank you.
