  • Mediation is extremely helpful

    If you want to be a successful person (however you define that) this app is just perfect. It combines lessons that are quite easy to grapple with and offers a path to better secure control over your own mind. I have a neurological disease that is exacerbated by stress and this app is something that I return to each time my body begins to tingle with stress and my symptoms dissipate and I realize the control the mind has over my body. It’s a useful tool and while I was reluctant to pay the subscription fee, it pays for itself many times over.

    I am really enjoying learning to meditate for the first time (to clarify, this is not my first time trying to learn to meditate, it’s just the first time I find myself actually enjoying and looking forward to it each day)!! LOL I highly recommend this app over any of the others out there (trust me, I have tried them ALL). To explain, there’s nothing inherently wrong with the other apps, it’s just that this one feels so much more accessible and doable. Like you are not alone in this, if that makes sense? I find myself wanting to go back to it several times throughout my day...and I can! There are meditations for just about ANY situation or current mental state, and any amount of time available. I can’t really explain why this one works so well compared to the others, it just DOES! Please do yourself a favor and give it a try with the free one-week trial. You honestly won’t regret it!! :-)

    I have tried out a lot of different apps and recorded programs over the years. I use mediations as a means to manage stress. This is the first app that has solid teaching and expert help. The videos with experts are really helpful and informative, providing much more value to the app. Totally worth the subscription for me.

  • Beginning meditation

    I really liked the intro and then guided meditation, and though it seemed much too short a session it really seemed to work for me. I hope the Happiness App doesn’t lock potential clients (some free testing time to see if you like the program, then I think $50 a year to maintain it) out of hearing the meditation more than once or twice. It’s supposed to work with Siri so you can try other beginning meditations, but I was completely unsuccessful. No matter how many times I told Siri to “play daily meditation, etc., the response was to re-record my phrase. No directions other than keep talking to Siri, so if this keeps up I will regretfully cancel this lovely app!

    I’ve been trying to meditate for 20 years, with little success. I’m loving 10%happier for the grounded, simple, approachable, calming presentation of this practice. I look forward to it every morning (and that’s not been my previous experience!) and I feel like I’m truly learning how to integrate the practice into my daily well-being.

    Dan brings a refreshing and modern inquiry to an ancient practice. The teachers he “interviews“ in a conversational style are top notch. If you are just beginning or experienced like myself, this app will enrich your practice. Don’t hesitate to go premium, totally worth it for yourself.
