I like this app a lot. -It teaches people how to play by showing which piece can move and how. -You can see old moves. - I don’t like that you lose games if you don’t move after 5 days. It should DRAW, not make you resign forcefully. - you can chat with people. - Recently it has some bugs but I hope they fix them.
  • Chess board shrinks

This app needs to be updated for the new iPhones! The chess board shrinks to a miniature size and you have to force close the app to bring it back to normal size. Please fix
  • Needs to be fixed with new iPhone update

Play all the time but ever since the new iPhone update the game board shrinks when you switch to a new game. The first match you open is fine but if you switch to another game the board becomes half the size unless you shut down the app and reopen it. Very frustrating and getting to the point where I am going to stop playing.

Will not work on my iPhone XR. Just freezes and allows no moves. You had one job fellas 👏
  • The older version was better

Something is wrong w this app. If you have more than one game then the second games board (screen) is smaller. Very annoying.
  • Customizable Board Color!

This app isn’t so bad, I’ve only had a few corrupted games over the course of 300 games. Also, if you press and hold on the top “chess with friends” logo while you’re playing a game the board changes between a bunch of colors. Took me years to accidentally find this. Enjoy!
  • Horrible Design

Is the only way to play with your friends by having a Facebook account? Because I do not have or want one, so this app is useless to me.
  • Buggy

I have the paid version so I don’t have to watch ads. The gameplay and UI are fine. But lately there is a bug that causes the screen to shrink. I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled and it doesn’t fix it. Also there’s a bug which causes profile pics to not show up. It looks like the game was last updated by Zynga a year ago. For a game that shows ads or charges $10 to remove ads, this should be updated and fixed more frequently. If Zynga would address the bugs this would be a 4 or 5 star game.

It would be nice if there was a way to keep certain games in an archive, so that if there are any games you really enjoyed/learned from, you can save them and go over them if need be. Also I like the app, but it was glitching a bit (working fine now). It’s worth mentioning that some people are trying to use it as an app to meet other singles, rather than playing chess.
