  • Spotty performance, no real customer service

    By patorjoe
I find various features fail to work as described on a regular basis, and there has been zero response after multiple attempts to contact customer service. They say they will answer you in two to theee days and then never do. Overseas origin, no real reason to staff a service center? An example: Location services is pretty important for us, very frustrating that it does not update itself at the intervals we selected. I have tried numerous times to access customer service and nada, goose eggs...zero reply. Treat this as a do-it-yourself app and expect very inconsistent results. Be prepared to read FAQ pages to attempt to diagnose your own issues; most solutions boil down to "check to see if you are running the most current version, delete and reinstall the software, or delete the child profile and recreate it (in other words reboot the entire show and see if anything changes). That advice has never solved any of our issues.
  • Great idea, poor execution

    By bennybbutler
So I decided to try this out on my own phone before putting it on the kids to see how well it performed. Installation was fine. All looked good until I started getting the reports. Keep in mind they analyze your usage by throwing everything through a vpn. So what it does do correctly is block porn sites. And if you go to one the parent is emailed immediately. That’s the limit on what’s correct. It also sends a daily report. The main part of the report is where it shows what apps you’ve been using. Guess what apps it told me I spent the most time in each day. YouTube and tik-tok. That’s odd because I don’t have tik-tok. And it said I spent hours on YouTube. Oh, and Minecraft. So I uninstalled YouTube. The next day TT and YouTube were still at the top of my list. So basically what is happening is they are looking at all of the traffic coming from your phone. A lot of web ads are being pulled off YouTube servers so that gets classified as YouTube. If an app does background updates that counts against you too. They really have no idea what YOU are doing, they just estimate based on what network traffic they see. This is NOT accurate. The next problem is the vpn makes things SLOW. web browsing, email, navigation are all slow. SIRI is unusable because its uploads to the cloud to be translated. Any app that relies on your location is wrong as it shows you coming out of their vpn servers. And a lot of security apps fail because they bugle the ssl veers (duo) So please don’t punish your kids based on what this app reports. Try it yourself first.
  • Love this app

    By Kacsa-face
Great app for monitoring my kid’s activity on his phone. I especially love the feature that locks his phone for a set time (e.g. from 11 pm to 8 am). The daily email summaries are also helpful.
  • Very Surprised!!!

    By Kalboski
Works very well. The VPN does mess somethings up but over all great app and great company. Even refunded me when we decided to take the second year off to see if I could control myself some on my own.
  • App is flawed

    By Sprogmamma
This app is severely flawed. I used the free trial then upgraded to the five device plan. The app never launched on my phone and my free trial account was still blocked 24 hours after they took my money. Often children are seen off-line because they move into areas with no Wi-Fi and then the blocking doesn’t work and they’re playing on their phones all night.
  • Works great

    By Jwpastor
This App works great and installs great on an iPhone. Computers are a bigger challenge. I installed it on an iMac, 2 MacBooks Airs, 3 iPads, and a Windows laptop running Windows 10. The installs on all of the Apple products was flawless but I ended up having to completely reformat the Windows laptop. Once the install went sideways on the Windows laptop there was no way to disengage it or fix it or uninstall it. I just had to reformat. Other than that it’s a great app and does everything it says.
  • Terrible Customer Service - Not as advertised

    By AMcNatt
I gave this app a try thinking I had 30 days to decide if it was a good fit for our family. After 2 weeks I learned it wasn’t - the schedule only let’s you set time limits on the hour (not half hour or exact time) and the daily report wasn’t as detailed as I would like. I’ve emailed 2 times (there is no phone number) to ask for my money back and have heard NOTHING! Beyond frustrated.
  • Used to be a great app....now not so much

    By jcmashek
We used to love this app and its functions however, after many updates it no longer functions properly and is not user friendly for parents or children. This app meant to help protect our kid now only causes frustration because it does not work properly anymore. We are a tech savvy family and it is not a user error that is creating the frustration. Wish it was better after upgrades. Would not recommend this app to anyone anymore.
  • Very cool app

    By Atl football man
Works great to monitor kids. They don’t need that type of privacy to be able to surf on ANY site. I got this for my 10 year old nephew who seemed to always go on porn sites. Not anymore
  • Makes Nice Products Useless

    By RiftmasterTV
You can't connect to most public WiFi and services like Netflix block VPNs due to the potential malicious uses of them, so it makes a device virtually useless. Also it often blocks the ability to update your device, leaving it vulnerable to threats. Along with all of that, it significantly reduces battery life. What's most ridiculous is all of the "features" of this app are now already on iOS, making it a waste of money. In conclusion, if you want to turn an expensive Apple device into a hunk of non-functional metal and you want to throw away hard-earned money, by all means, get it.
