  • A complete waste of money

It worked for about 5 minutes, then suddenly the sound disappeared and was left really confused. I deleted the app and reinstalled it, and now the app is glitchy and still has no sound. Really confused, considering I had a friend who used it and it seemed to work fine. But my experience is going quite downhill, and am starting to believe I spent $10 on absolutely nothing.
  • Amazing, but very flawed.

This is an update to an earlier review I wrote up this year. iMaschine needs some work guys. These are my main complaints: 1. Launch time is FOREVER. Sometimes over 10 seconds. This is the only app on my iPhone that takes this long. The only one on my entire home screen. 2. We need a practical way to edit performances. A 16 step sequencer works great per pad but does not provide what is needed to edit keyboard performances and other goofs made during tracking. 3. Where is the EQ? Seriously. Filters do not do the job. We need a parametric EQ. 4. Better export and import options. Please give us Files app support for importing our own samples to pads. Really tired of the crappy work arounds for this. Things that people need to do like this everyday should be easier. 5. This app needs more consistent updates and a bi-yearly overhaul to meet the demands of mobile producer and musicians. It is an app with many great uses but it is also very lacking in features. For having spent like $50 on this app over the years, I am disappointed. Please step up your game and I will change my review. Thanks.

Ive been playing with this app for quite some time. Back when the first iMachine app came out the volume never went up and down with how hard you press on the pads. Im not the biggest fan of the pressure sensitivity especially when im playing with the drum kits it doesnt really work well for that. Wish there was a setting to turn that feature off. Still a great app tho.
  • Suddenly stopped working

Used to love this app and it worked completely fine when out of the blue I’m experiencing exactly what others are going through now...the splash page opens and then it just crashes. I haven’t updated the iOS or anything, it worked great all day today and now suddenly it won’t open anymore after working the last few days on an inspiring session, please update!!!
  • Lost all my projects

This used to be a really good way to sketch out ideas and get rough songs together, but support has clearly been cut and it has been extremely buggy for the past year. I’m devastated that I’ve lost ~100 projects and am left with an app that is now unusable and that I sunk money into for all sorts of content. Recording samples causes it to crash, certain user kits make it crash... pretty much most things make it crash and you risk the program getting so buggy it won’t start for days on end. Awaiting some support from NI I’m getting the projects back so will loop back and update this if necessary, but even outside of losing the projects this has been very buggy. Love maschine on my Mac and am bummed the experience hasn’t been up to par on mobile.
  • Can’t tap in time with metronome. Frustrating!!

I’ve reinstalled it and restarted my iPhone twice now and no matter what I try, the app doesn’t think i’m tapping in time with the metronome. Very frustrating as i’m sure i’m tapping in time with it. Deleted!
  • Will be closer to 5 star if core midi is ever added

Lots of potential, but lacking too much to take as a serious tool, the biggest thing missing is core midi. I think the expansion packs are as plus factor , but I only buy them for the drum kits, since I can’t play the instruments on anything than the on screen keyboard. I really don’t understand why there is no core midi i this app at this time, just shows a lack of the developers thinking when it comes to iOS music app development.

Just purchased the Ultimate Collection which I thought finally had all the sounds in the catalog. Seems I’m still 22 sounds shy @ .99 cents each. Guess I’ll have to roll with what I got. Stop milking your customers.
