I have played this game for 2+ years and I’m at level 85 with nearly all characters That actually make a difference in the game. When and if you reach the level I am at there’s nothing to do but sit and farm for gear. There haven’t been any new levels released for over a year to actually get to use some of the toons that we spend cash and countless hours upgrading. The other problem is the odds of getting gear/shards while farming have dropped like a rock especially in cantina battles. I and my guild mates are fed up with wasting 300-900 energy to get 2-3 character shards. And another thing is you are a fool to buy any of the gear/shards promo packs. You will crap the you already have or character shards that are for useless toons. And finally that dream you had about getting fully crafted toons from promo packs in the game store is a hallucination the most I have gotten in 2+ years of daily play is 10 out of a possible 330. Maybe some day EA will loosen up the purse strings but don’t hold your breath.

Great game that I play daily. Has always looked good on my iPhones but looks like trash on my 2018 11 inch iPad Pro. 5 star game otherwise.

This game was fun for a little while as they practically gave away some of their EP 7 Characters & somewhat unpopular OT Characters, but when it comes time to unlock the Better or Legendary Characters like Jedi Knight Revan, you have have no choice but to Pay a lot of Money in their store to quickly build up the other characters in order to unlock the Legendary Characters (like Revan) and it used to be somewhat easy to unlock their “Marque Characters” until Disney & EA envisioned their “Road Ahead” now they’ve made it almost impossible as a FTP to unlock (like the B1 Battle Droid) what used to be an easier unlock & again they are now redirecting players to their store to purchase shards that are now double the price than before and you may or may not be able to get the shards you need to unlock that character so you end up dumping a lot of money into their store and that concept by the developers is Absolutely Horrible. Plus theres a lot of Stupid Holes in the game. For example they allowed us to play to unlock Anakins Star Fighter but they did not offer to allow us to unlock Anakin Skywalker himself in order to unlock his fighter. Same thing with OT Millennium Falcon. They allowed us to play to unlock the Falcon but did not include Han or Chewie to unlock so we could not unlock the OT Falcon - Unless you go to the store and purchase their shards. Not everyone has been playing the game since the launch, so its not fair to the New Players that they do not have a playing chance of unlocking special characters so EA should bring those events back around from time to time & allow New Players the opportunity to unlock special characters like Count Dooku or Anakin Skywalker or Captain Han Solo. Sorry but this game is No Longer any fun. They Totally took a what was once a fantastic creation by George Lucas & Trashed it into a Cash Grab Money Pit. *And keep THIS thought in mind: There’s lots of “Good Mobile Games” out there where the Developer will try their best to make sure EVERYONE comes out a Winner somehow without having to run to the store & PAY Out The Nose! This Developer & Disney are ripping people off & using the Star Wars creation as a Financial Door Mat while Laughing All They Way to the Bank...keep that in mind. Well, here’s my Concept Looking Ahead for SWGOH -> Game Deleted

PAY PAY PAY PAY PAY PAY...... Time time time time time...... They have ran this once brilliant game right into the ground with their greed and ignorance.

It is very fun to play, but as with all games in this category it favors the very experienced players who can beat everything and the start up guys can hardly do anything. Another problem is that it’s a pay-to-play game, meaning if one pays real money, said person gets ahead quicker. The other good yet bad thing, is yes they come out with new c

I want to like this game. I really do. The characters are great, abilities make sense, and the game doesn’t crash like some other turn based ones (*cough* Marvel Strike Force *cough*). However, the whole thing is a major cash grab. EA tweaks the drop rates to be lower when you need an item. So then you have to spend 50 crystals to refresh energy. And *amazingly*, you get that item on the next try if the node... Speaking of crystals, it’s NIGH IMPOSSIBLE to get them. You get ~50 for all daily objectives and anywhere from 25-500 crystals for arena rank, but 500 is only if you spend a lot of money to be #1... I’ve played about 3 months and only spent $10 on this game, and receive 35 crystals for my troubles (second to last arena tier with level 75 ish characters). That wouldn’t be bad at all if the objectives awarded more than 2 crystals each!!! The only ones that give more are the galactic war (10) and all objectives (25). They should be 5 and 10 for each objective not 2. The daily challenges don’t even award a set amount. Awards RANGE from 2-5 of an item or 7-10 of an item so you can get drastically different results each time. And then you have to wait 10 minutes in between, which draws it out a long time. Very annoying. Additionally, the free energy amount is only 45, instead of 80 like MSF (which is the only other game like this I’ve played), and alternates to sometimes include regular energy and mod energy or cantina but never all 3. So they gipp you on that too. Finally, it is incredibly FRUSTRATING that each character node only drops 1 shard at most. For gods sake, please change this to 2 shards!!!! Making a character 3 star isn’t bad, but 4 star or higher takes forever. Shard requirements jump from 35 to 50, then 65, then 80, then 100, the last 3 are particularly painful, especially when there’s an event requiring 5+ star or higher for 5 characters. That’s 245 successful completions of a node, in which you have about a 10-33% shard drop rate at any given time. Some characters are easier to get than others, but golly gee it’s a pain to get them to drop at all. EA offers silly “deals” for $60 to get one character instead and bombards you with those. The ship battles are horribly unbalanced. I avoid those for the most part. Other than all this, the game is fairly entertaining, if only for 20 minutes a day. Oh, and having a good guild is a must. Raids are practically the only consistent source of credits.

This game is fun to play but also very irritating! Characters like Darth Vader are weak in comparison to newer characters! I don’t mind losing to someone who has better stats but to lose to injustice is so aggravating!!!
