  • Proper TV app still missing

Can we please get proper AppleTV support back?? I mean this is sort of ridiculous that we’re still forced to use airplay rather than a well suited TV app. This alone will determine weather or not I continue paying for this service as I prefer watching these lectures on my TV and not my phone or laptop.
  • Not worth any payments in my opinion.

Make sure if you sign up for a free trial to cancel it. They’ll screw ya around and not give you a refund but gladly give you an extra free month (although you don’t use the service at all). My fault for sure. But only “mad” because absolutely none of the classes I found to be useful or interesting.
  • App is unusable

I like SkillShare but can not use the app at all. After countless back and forth with support was just told to use the browser version. Not ideal for me, as I really just want to access the classes on my phone not through the browser. Can’t log into the app at all. Just get a message that something went wrong. I “use” the app on an iPhone. It’s sad because I paid a lot of money for the yearly subscription only to find that it doesn’t work. I don’t want to have to use the browser version.
  • Needs a few fixes

I really love the classes and I’ve learned so much already. I would like to see a few fixes and updates though: 1. The ability to pause and play video when watching from a desktop computer. It’s sooo much easier and efficient when I don’t have to click to pause or play. 2. Add workshops to folders from the app. I don’t use the app often because if I decide to browse I can’t add workshops I want to watch to a playlist. If it wasn’t for the ability to download videos to watch without WiFi, I’d delete the app altogether. 3. It isn’t possible to share classes from the app (iPad). When I hit the share button the menu pops up behind the options page. Other than that, I really love Skillshare and I’m happy I went for the 1yr subscription. I’m looking forward to seeing the improvements as they continue to grow.

I could do this 24/7. Can’t believe how much I’ve learned. After a lifetime of being art phobic, I’m learning to draw. Procreate, Affinity, mandalas, tiles, everything I want is on here and some absolutely amazing teachers. I can’t afford it, but no way is that going to stop me from re-upping when the time comes. Not to mention what a lifesaver it is during COVID isolation. I’m hooked!

I often come home from work uninspired and exhausted. I pop one of these videos on and in minutes I am ready to get creative.

Thanks a lot for offering a good platform to learn from the top designers all over the world. I am diving myself to learn a bunch of skills of graphic design, drawing and so on.

Love Skillshare! Better than any other art skills platform I’ve tried.
  • Great listening, not so easy navigation

This app has been very helpful for me. I enjoy listening to the videos while doing tasks around the house, especially if the content doesn’t rely too heavily on visuals. My only complaint is that the navigation system for finding new classes is somewhat outdated in terms of design. Also it’s hard to know if a class is credible, and I’ve seen a range of quality in courses. I wish there were more creators that I could trust on the platform, then I would feel like this is a really quality platform to invest in 100% of the time. But if Skillshare doesn’t get a grip on quality control, people are going to not see the point in paying for a subscription.
