  • Unfortunately you can’t choose zero stars.

It used impossible to get any help from Acorn. Don’t bother contacting them. They will do nothing. I have now tried five times. All I got was..hope it’s working now. Please rate us. So I am. If you haven’t done anything for me, not even contacted me what rating can you expect? Well you asked for it and here it is. Ok. They finally sent me a phone number and I called. In the meantime. I had finally found some directions I could follow and perhaps updated it and fixed it. Or they fixed something they had broken...anyway it now works. AND I have a phone number for the future...though I think they have short working hours unlike some companies orne all night and weekends. Phew! In their defense I just realized it all happened over the weekend...but I had expected full service then. Now I know better.
  • Apple home bar at bottom of screen does not go away

    By CB28252
That’s right, when watching a show through the app the white apple home bar does not disappear like in every other streaming service. So, you are forced to watch a show with a permanent white line through it. I contacted Acorn and their response was to contact Apple “billing assistance.” The issue is not with Apple but with the functionality of the Acorn app. There are numerous reviews/complaints about this very issue. Easily fixed through an update to the app yet Acorn’s response is a non-response. It’s very unfortunate this is how the functionality of the app works for its users that are paying money for the subscription service and are forced to watch the screen with a white line through it. None of the other streaming services have this issue, disappears within 2 seconds.
  • Stale UI

    By lil steven
Spend a couple bucks and update the UI to work with iPad. I find it extremely annoying to see the bright menu and big white bar at the bottom. This just shows the app hasn’t been updated for quite some time.

You need to let my payment go thru on PayPal who has my bank acct info without adding a debit card.

Hate that you limit the episodes to one per week or even longer. Case in Point, Brokenwood Series 6. I am an adult and can manage my viewing. Giving us one episode at a time is frustrating and controlling!!! Same with Agatha Raisin!! when the heck is next new episode??? Thank goodness I have Brit Box to go to for additional shows. You used to be better!!!
  • App stops working

When I’m watching a program and I pause for a minute and come back to the App the screen is all black! So I can’t do anything!
  • Love this app, but...

    By Ughwhatthe
I have been using this app for a while now, and recently it has (on both my iPhone and iPad) started going black during the episodes. It doesn’t disturb the show, but I have to shut down the iPhone or iPad and restart it to get back the app so I can start another episode. It’s almost as if it times out.
  • Doesn’t work

    By :)shanny(:
I have had Acorn TV for almost 1 yr, and I love the shows but lately it is not working . The shows stop and start and then just fail I am about to give up. You need to fix this. My Netflix works perfectly so it’s not me.
  • Freezes with casting. Ugh.

    By Rostorama
When pausing the program in the middle, it crashes on iOS and the phone screen goes black with no way to recover. Have to reboot the phone. A real drawback and frustrating.
  • App is poor

Every time I cast an episode from Murdock Mysteries on to my tv loses connection and I have to reload the app it is ridiculous!!!
