Description

Want to date someone who shares your drive? And maybe, just maybe, you'd like to meet someone smart enough to know how to look good in a black and white photo, courteous enough to use proper punctuation, and understanding of your way-too-restrictive work schedule? While your mother may call you picky, we call you self-aware. Join The League community and meet other ambitious folks who refuse to settle. In these unusual times, you might want to try a new (even more intelligent!) approach to dating. We’ve enhanced the League Live video dating parties on Sunday and Wednesday nights as well as other video dating features like video chatting with your Matches. League users now have the option of becoming members by purchasing several subscription options. Membership offers extra perks, customization, more prospects and invites to exclusive events. Depending on what term you choose, your Membership will last for 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months, and automatically renew at those intervals from the point of purchase onward. If you wish to cancel your membership before it renews, you must do so at least 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at the confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and will be renewed at the same price the next term. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to your Account Settings after purchase. • Waitlisted...

I was on the waitlist for well over a month. I guess my profile pictures weren’t desirable enough to make it through. You can’t really do much with the app if you aren’t a member. Membership fees are astronomical!

I waited about 2 months to be entered into this “acclaimed” league. What they don’t tell you during this DUMB long wait is that EVERY single action within this app and their little league will cost you money. And I’m not talking $20 I’m talking hundreds upon hundreds. Are they smoking crack rocks!?? I can’t speak to the quality of the people because you also can’t see that without paying several hundreds as well. I’ve used quite a few dating apps and I would say that this one is by far the most “money hungry” one out there. Save your money. Download Hinge. Great quality and only $20 a month for premium. 👍🏽

Poised as a prestigious app and with quality matches, you are really left with the same quality of people as any other app. Over priced for a few profiles a day, and the worst part, the profiles shown can be way out of area. Living in Orange County, I hardly ever got profiles here and were shown people primarily in Los Angeles, which is 40min away with 0 traffic. Honestly, just don’t bother with this app.

***see my additional comments below made after TheLeague responded*** I had high hopes for The League snd was grossly disappointed. My assigned “concierge” rarely responded with any sense of urgency and sometimes not at all. In the beginning League says “don’t settle!” But when it can’t produce matches it tells me I’m too prickly and should consider dating men 100 miles away bc the founder of League had a long distance relationship and it worked out (huh?) and I was picky about things important to me like race and religion and that I was told to be open to dating outside my preferred race and religion and lower my education expectations. Isn’t that telling me to settle? Well if you’re looking to settle for a text relationship with someone living 3 states away, maybe this is the app for you. ****I just read the response from the “developer” brushing off my above experience. Yes, The League “concierge” named Connor absolutely DID label me picky and it even says so in League assessment to my profile that I’m “picky” because I only want to date Christian, men, Caucasians, educated equal to my own education, and in a radius of 20 miles. I was told to lower my criteria to broaden the net of potential suitors bc I’m too picky. Really? That list of basic criteria makes me picky? What’s the point of sending me profiles of uneducated atheists in Ohio and others undersirable to me if I am clear about my personal preferences? This app is NOT WHAT IT HOLDS ITSELF OUT TO BE!! Education wise I have an advance degree and it’s important to me a potential partner does as well, yet The League sends me guys with bad tattoos, no job, no education and living 100+ miles away. I was told to give them a chance. I was also told to post more body photos. Are the men given the same advice????The League permits 6 photos I put up a skydiving photo (full body) 4 head shots and a clear full body shot all dressed up standing at a social function. I BELIEVE THE LEAGUE IS A SCAM It does not pair people up based on education and career status. I lost my money, don’t lose yours!!!!

Accessibility features so lacking as to be unusable. No developer response to speak of.

After downloading this app in hopes it would bring something new to the dating world, I was very disappointed. First, you have to wait days to even be “accepted” to the app because it’s so “elite.” But when you are finally accepted and see contenders, only 3 a day might I add, you wonder if they also went through this “elite” vetting... some definitely did not. The whole 3 people a day is also ridiculous. Not to mention the pricing of membership. Even just to undo a “dislike” costs major bucks. And sure, while it might have been that there weren’t many guys signed up in my city, by week two I was only given options of guys from DIFFERENT STATES. All in all, not worth it.

This app is really not worth it. Shows you so few options and the matches never grow into anything more. The monetization is also laughable
  • Forget about it

Total bs. Forgot about the site. Came back six months later. Still said I had 200,000 more in front of me. But if I want to pay...

Don’t believe disgruntled reviews of those who couldn’t get in / live in a small city. Got in as a free user in 3 days in NYC. Servers and engineers (like most things in life) aren’t free or a right, and while you can use this for free, I’ve paid for optional tics for useful purposes. If optional membership is too pricey for you, maybe be inspired to earn more to be among a better quality pool (while supporting women-owned businesses) vs cheap apps anyone can join. Requiring/showing employer, occupation, school saves me so much diligence time, unlike other apps. Best dating app design I’ve used that shows all info/photos on the screen size vs requiring scrolling/swiping. While the pool naturally starts to decrease after 7mos, I’d be proud to say I met my future partner on The League vs other apps and have recommended it to all of my single female friends when they complain about other apps. I’ve emailed the support team nicely and they’ve always helped me (and definitely deserve a raise). Kudos to the League team, just pls get rid of black and white filter (would save so much time swiping through duplicate photos as we live in color).
