Mac users really need: text recognition and the ability to aggregrate to do items.

Rudimentary note taking application but handles most use cases, its quite capable. The online sync helps with accessing data from other devices. The app does require an Outlook/Hotmail/MSN/Microsoft account to use/sync.

I discovered OneNote during my later college years and continued on to using it at work as well. I have yet to find a program that works as well as OneNote in keeping all of my notes/files neatly organized while still maintaining such an amazing writing experience when used with my iPad and Apple Pencil. I will admit - I have tried out other options like Bear and EverNote, but they just don't do quite what I want them to or work as well as I would like (for free, anyway!). I already have a sub to O365, so I keep all my notebooks stored in OneDrive and work from there. My only gripe was the UI, as I constantly switch between macOS/iOS and Windows 10, but even that was addressed in more recent updates to provide a consistent user experience across both platforms AND it's getting dark mode! I love it! Highly recommended, you won't regret it!

Ive tried many note taking programs. But I always go back to Onenote. Mostly for the freedom of the page layout. The ability to attach/insert almost anything into the page. And I can even use my pen to write.

I utilize MS OneNote for both my day job in managment consulting and my evenings as a law school student. I capture every detail and the program instantly saves! I can get creative and organize however I need to or just have a verbal vomit moment and pour it all on a page. MS OneNote is the best!
