  • Essential app

    By OTD Deramin
I probably use this once a day at least. I've long loved how comprehensive the OED is. The etymologies are unparalleled and so informative. This app is mostly very easy to use and navigate. Would be nice if I could easily toggle between definitions and thesaurus since that seems like a wasted opportunity for a combined app, but that's a small complaint for all the use I get out of it. I have a few dictionary apps, but this is the one I always reach for first (usually last).
  • Not worth the price

App is slow and old-fashioned in design. Definitions not any better than in cheaper dictionaries. No sound if ringer is off. Merriam-Webster’s app is much better, much cheaper, and gives you better examples of use. Can’t believe they are charging so much (and that I paid!) for such a clunky, cluttered app.
  • Easy to use.

  • Very bad

This is not an Oxford standard dictinoary or thesaurus. It's hard to use and not well developed. For $25..... this app is outrageously expensive for what it offers. Take the thesaurus for example. Search the word "help" and you get variations like,"helper". That is not a thesaurus. Save your money.
  • Fantastic resource

I use this all the time, usually to look up words, sometimes use thesaurus. It's the authoritative source, and is always available (whether or not I have internet).
  • Missing some words

The application lacks some words. Today’s find included “grapnel” and I am sure to find others as I make my way through a colorful novel.
