  • Subscription is not the way to go!

    By M.D.p53
I just want to pay for something once and then own it. A 50$ yearly subscription is not worth it. They’re are too many other closely related apps that are just as good for something to cost that much per year.
  • New version crippled my favorite app

    By theVRs
I loved PDF Expert for the first 2 years that I used it. An incredible tool — to synch across all my cloud services (Google, OneDrive, Dropbox), and to easily mark up and edit PDFs. Then, last year, they “improved” it with a major update. Some changes were mildly annoying (like hiding commonly used tools several clicks down). But the real problem is basic performance. Documents now constantly lag. Handwriting with the pencil fails to appear on screen for 5 seconds after you write it — leaving you waiting, like an idiot, wondering whether to write it again or just wait or shut the app. It has made it almost unusable, which is a tragedy. I really wish I could “downgrade” to the 2018 version of the app, which was a jewel. When this first happened, I assumed it was growing pains with a major rewrite, and that they would de-but it within a few weeks. But nothing has happened. More than 6 months have gone by... I have the latest version of the app, running on the most powerful iPad Pro on the market... and it continue to freeze, freeze, freeze. Readdle: where is your development team?? Are they on vacation? Is no one tracking usage data on how the app is actually working for users?
  • A do nothing app unless you leak annual extorted fees that never go down.

Rip off bait and switch. Can’t really us it unless you comply to extortion of annual fees.
  • Just stopped syncing. Support completely unresponsive

    By Duarte434
This app useed to be great. Until the day it stopped syncing with Google drive. Deleted the account and tried to add it again - loosing changes that had not been backed up - to no avail. Never again could I connect to my Google drive. Support team does not reply to messages. Unfortunately, I will have to turn to the alternatives. As a researcher, note taking is part of my job and I cannot afford not to have my notes backed up. I'm extremely disappointed.
  • It’s like breathing lightening.

In today’s economy, we need such applications, whether on your desktop, laptop, tablet or handheld PC.
  • Doesn’t work on iPad Pro!

    By Reegor
This was a great app. But for about the last month, it no longer runs on my iPad Pro 12.7. 30 to 50 seconds after I open the app, it quits back to the desktop. Unusable! Readdle Support has responded to my messages, but they keep asking for the crash log, which the app is not creating. In any case, they don’t seem to be able to fix it. None of the suggested workarounds has helped. I have been using Devonthink’s editor instead, but it’s time to use a competitor. Update Feb 2020: problem still there! Not usable. Fortunately, many alternatives that are decent although not as seamless with my Mac.
  • Something Wrong

    By Ahmed Mechi
Very useful dependable application Thanks for your amazing application, I am using it for years and I always recommend my friends to use it. However, I have two problems with the app. 1- many times the app shut down and close by itself so losing the notes and annotations the I have added, so I have to save the notes every 5 minutes by getting out of the document and then reopen it . 2- Many times , the underlying lines below the words disappear and I should close the app and reopen it in-order to have the (underlie) to appear again below the words. Need your help to fix these problems
  • False advertising

    By Donata824
I downloaded this to reduce a pdf file size and the button to do so either doesnt exist or is so IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND the designers should be embarrassed.
  • Basic file handling capabilities absent.

    By nn2020b
It’s sad to see that such a highly rated app doesn’t include the basic file delete feature. Once you place a file in the pdf expert folder for reading, you can never remove the file. This was so surprising for me.
