  • Crash crash and crash again

Every time I open the app it crashes. I called tech support since it was crashing and there were buttons not loading, they said they would email me with a solution in an surprise it’s been 24 hours and no response. Guess I’ll switch to amazon products from now on🙄
  • A Shame

    By vreclvr
Quite possibly the worst functioning app in the entire App Store. I expect better from a company with so much money behind it. Loads ridiculously slow, some buttons not even responsive, routines not syncing with devices or even on the app on another phone... the list of issues is endless. Google should be embarrassed. If the app is going to be this much of a failure, at least allow us to access Google Home via a web browser...

  • This app is the worst part of a smart home.

This app needs a complete overhaul. the UX is just bad and it just doesn’t work… It’s the most frustrating app that I use on a regular basis. First, adding new devices may or may not work… I’ve been trying to add a new google home mini all morning and it won’t find the stupid thing. Routines… lord this is just bad. Once a routine is finally setup and working properly, they work fine (well, sometimes. see below) but creating new routines is ridiculous. They don’t see to save but there’s no save button so what i’ve found I have to do when editing a routine is make an edit, back out of the routine, force close the app and then re-open and the change will have saved. Otherwise, it’ll revert back to the original routine… To replicate, delete a routine. Go to the app’s home screen, click routines and the routine you just delete will still be there! But force close the app, reopen and it’ll be gone… Also, I updated a routine a while ago that starts playing music from Spotify in the mornings on my living room google home. The living room used to use a google home mini but I updated it to a google Home and moved the mini to my office and renamed it to “office”. But, the routine still plays the music on my mini, named “office” even though the routine says to play on “living room” home… I’ve even deleted the routine and created a new routine but the music still plays in the office even though nothing about the office is mentioned in any routine! Drives me nuts. Also, why do I have to go through and confirm my address and voice settings with every new google device I set up? It’s super redundant. And let me reorder the devices on the home screen. Or group by device type at least. Scrolling to the very bottom to get to my group of speakers is annoying. Basically, there needs to be some UX experts on the project management team for this app, not just developers. And maybe better developers??
  • Terrible- skip it and get Alexa

    By Finout
Google Assistant Devices are so much worse than Alexa. Hard to configure, hard to use, and documentation is inaccurate.
  • Full support of ios devices lacking

    By jazzyjeff121
it appears that you can’t mirror at the device like you can on with android with almost any minis however with the iPad version minis you can’t minis mirror the device which limits the possibilities of what Google Home does seriously. With all the money that you charge for apps for the desert lucrative business that is created you would think that Google or Apple would take the time to provide full support for there are more high-end items like the iPad.
  • Not working

    By JBB_102
I’m trying to set up contacts on my google mini and it doesn’t let me. Is hard to understand this app. And some of the instructions aren’t corresponding with the app. The app tells you to go somewhere and click certain things but none of it pops up .
  • Confusing
