  • Outstanding Support

Noom provides tons of support for losing weight but most importantly, provides knowledge for learning how to eat healthily for the rest of one’s life. I’ve been SO impressed. I wake up with a discouraging thought and the daily message on my phone gives me the exact answer to lift me up.
  • Awful way too highly priced $90 for 6 months and they don’t refund

My husband is sick and I thought I canceled but I’ve had a lot going on and they refuse to refund my money I can’t afford to lose $90 for an app but now I’m stuck with it and have to explain to my husband why we can’t get his medicine he needs cuz of a lousy app! I will never do a free trial again!!! They are scams and crooks!
  • Love the short articles, keeps me on track

I’ve enjoyed my first two weeks ($1) and am ready to start for the next few months (~$150). The reason I’m so happy with it so far is that it forces me daily to think about doing the right things through the short articles and quizzes.
  • It’s a scam

Run away now. These people are fraudsters and scammers. They stole $159 from me with no refund or customer service. They have an F rating with the BBB of New York City.
  • Could be better but outdated advice not in touch with modern life

I’ve learned a few psyche pointers from the Noom app, but overall I find it’s overhyped. It tells you you don’t need to limit food but nearly all foods are “red” even foods allowed on weight watchers and other programs. Even some healthy foods are red or yellow and it actually becomes aggravating trying to figure out why one thing is green but another nearly identical food is red. It tells you things you already know like just limit calories, say no to eating out, and don’t touch donuts in the break room. If you are busy/on the road/ work 2 jobs like plenty of us, outdated advice like spend 40 hrs a week prepping every snack and lunch is not helpful. The food database is lacking so it’s hard to track your meals. A big dealbreaker. It’s an okay app but at about 30$ a month save yourself the trouble, workout at home, and read some psychology articles on the internet—-all for free.

  • Worthless Coaching

I did the free trial. The app itself has a nice interface. I like the categorization of foods and the overall concept. However the “coaches” are only bots not real people. The Bot coaches are also worthless. They give generic advice and don’t respond to questions. Noom claims they are “real people”, perhaps real people who click send on automated messages without reading what participants say? I will not be paying for the “program” - not worth the money. I will use their food tracker.

My lack of success and interactions with Noom are entirely my fault. Lots going on. Flu and cold and more serious health concerns as well. Strict lecture from doctor - as usual, it’s nothing new - but changes now make it imparitive I pay attention.

Tough to cancel. Would not recommend.
  • Complete waste of time and money.

The only difference between this program and weight watchers is, you are basically paying a robot app to tell you to count your calories and not obsess about your weight by standing on a scale. The “coach” they say you have is nothing but an automated response system. Save your money and get my fitness pal.
