  • No real coach behind it

    It is run by bots that treat you like a 5 year old . It will send you a congratulatory note even if you log water for all your meals. The bit coach never answers your questions . It just send you messages by filling in the blanks with the response you provide to its questions .
  • Noom can change the way you think about food, and the way you eat it.

    This program does a good job of providing small, pretty easy to manage bits of information, along with discussions and group support to help you evaluate your diet and make changes toward a more healthy life. It takes about 10minutes each day to read all the daily lessons/articles, and it asks you to track weight, food choices and steps. It’s been surprisingly effective for me. I think for it to work, you have to be willing to read all the information and do the exercises, and realize that it’s a long-term proposition: if you mess up, it’s not a big deal, as long as you re-engage as soon as you can. The free trial gives you a good sense of how it works, and will give you an idea of your ability to engage in this kind of program right now.

    I downloaded this as a free app with no intentions of spending a penny. I absolutely did not sign up nor give them access to my Paypal or any other bank cards yet I wake up one day to a $106 charge thru my Palpal! Excuse me but that is FRAUD AND THEFT! Customer service was uncooperative. I called Paypal who is refunding my money and it was 10 am and said I was the 3rd call for the same thing with this company already for the day! I have no idea how they got access to my Paypal as I have never bought something through them where you weren’t directed to their site first and asked to enter my password and approve the purchase. Ever. This company is disgusting.
  • Addresses the psychological side of weight loss

    I was skeptical that this program would work for me, but I’m five weeks in and have lost ten pounds! this has worked for me because it addresses the emotional part of losing weight. You are tasked with reading helpful “articles” everyday that tackle different aspects of weight loss, which keeps me focused everyday. I didn’t have enough motivation to simply count calories through other programs. Doing great so far!
  • So far the app has been buggy and it’s impossible to log new foods

    The motivation is great and I like the thinking behind it, but the app is pretty horrible. It’s incredibly difficult to log new foods. There’s no way to add a new food because there’s no confirm button. Only cancel. This must be a glitch hit I’d imagine that an app with so many positive reviews must have some people who log foods that aren’t in their very limited system.

    I like NOOM! It is made for real people who are not realistic about calories or portion sizes. It bring you down easy. It never scolds. It is understanding and encouraging. It leaves the choices to the individual. It’s not one-size-fits-all; it’s there-is-a-fit-for-each-individual.

    Noom is the first weight loss program that makes sense. It explains everything And why! I have learned to eat to live not live to eat. So far I have lost 13lbs. in 4 weeks.
  • I have just what I need

    I tried it out for two weeks but honestly the human coach was more annoying and useless than anything. It didn’t really do much of anything at all, really. I don’t need it! So I cancelled my subscription before it started and even though I was sad I wouldn’t be able to read the daily articles anymore it was way more money than that was worth. To my surprise, I still have the articles!! The only thing I’m missing without the expensive fees is the coach which is perfect! I now have exactly what I need and want without paying crazy prices for it. Amazing; I love this app so much now.

    I want to tell everyone how much Noom has helped me to succeed. I had very little hope due to my past failures. I want to give them all the credit but ultimately all they did was set up a lot of useful information and I MADE THE CHOICES! I am doing the reading, exercising, food moderation, etc and after 4 weeks I’m down 21 pounds! Yes! I tell everybody about Noom. So happy to have them with me on my path.
