  • Trans-Friendly?.. eh...

    By LoserGal
The inclusive mention of LGBTQ users in this app's description had me excited & hopeful about the experience. However, it's not as trans/queer friendly or "woke" as the description made it seem. The gender selection is either male/female & there's really no place to put that you're trans so that you match with those interested in your type. It's been 1wk and so far I've gotten nothing but unmatched by the matches I've made. Oh & if you're not willing to spend money, your usage on this app will be HIGHLY limited. The overall concept is cool & seems less hook-up oriented, however, the app's "cis-temic" setup makes it not as trans-friendly as it claims to be. Thus, the search for a good dating app for trans-people continues.
  • Fake profiles galore!

    By Ohnoitsiosdoneitagainzies
IF You are looking to WASTE YOUR TIME ON FAKE PROFILES - look no more!! I started noticing an uncanny amount of “highly eligible” bachelors!!! You will see MOSTLY “super qualified”, “modelesque”, nice-looking profiles, compared to other dating apps. I quickly started noticing I was wasting my time on profiles where the men seemed like excellent candidates: nice photos, well educated, but many had broken English! I would soon find out because the conversations would lead to short answers, small inconsistencies from profile data, many small errors in English (where the person was not multi-lingual), other misunderstandings with North American culture, off topic “canned responses” to direct questions. Look for career choices that clearly don’t match their stated level of education. YOU WILL quickly figure out that the matches are try to take you off line, to start conversations elsewhere, but then actually not connect live via cell phone call. They just continue chatting on another website with broken English and or subtle inconsistencies. This has happened to me three times within Two weeks!!!! I thought this was just a coincidence, then the more I searched the website, I kept finding more, and more, inconsistent and strangely “off” profiles that are abnormally high quality, but have broken English that are peppered with grammatical errors. Look out for this app! BEWARE! The app will continue to ask you to pay money to be a part of the process, but I think it’s a scam. To be honest it looks like, to me, that this app is paying for FAKE content to fill UP THE APP in order to make it look like it is an awesome application, but really the owners of the app seem to be paying for “ English as a second language” labor to fill in their profiles. I hate to say it but it seems quite evident. Hey, you might get lucky and find a real person, but it’s complete lottery in a sea of fake profiles. (If I were one of their fake profiles I would say that last sentence like this: hey you might get i lucky and find a real person but its a completely lottery in a see of fakery profiles.) PERFECT EXAMPLE OF THE TYPE OF PROFILE DATA YOU WILL FIND ON THE APP. It’s almost as if a person who speaks English as a second language is using “talk to text” technology to create the profile data!!!! Coffee Meets Bagel, that’s SOOOOOO DESPERATE AND WRONG!!!
  • Found my bagel!

    By CMBFan19
This was definitely one of the least overwhelming dating apps out there. So easy to use, too. I’ve been on several good dates through the app but the best part was finally meeting my bagel. ❤️
  • Good for females, horrible for men, bad for modern day dating scene

    By Tsasssummmm
The app’s favoritism for women over men is ridiculous. Women gets to pick from a list of people who already “liked” them. Obviously, with how many guys that just like everyone and filter after the girls like them back, you end up with women who become unrealistic in their search as tons of options are thrown at them daily. Men using the app on the other hand, spam with ads to buy beans, and often have to wait weeks if not months, until you even get a chance to be shown on the women’s app as you are so backed up in line to even be shown. You are hurting the dating scene more then you are helping as for men, after using the app are more “sadden” by lack of connects, while women have so much thrown at them (mostly just dudes looking for ONS and liking every profile without looking), causing them to distrust and become full of themselves.
  • Le sigh

New update is atrocious. Have they done any user testing on this? In one session, I’ll be promoted 10 times to pay to send someone digital flowers. Come on guys. This is just desperate.

I met my soulmate on Coffee Meets Bagel. This is hands down the best dating app of all-time. For anyone who wants to meet someone, I highly suggest this fantastic dating app.
  • Men Beware - READ THIS

    By AtoTheTheist
I would love to recommend this app. It’s sleek, polished, and has an easy to use interface and is very intuitive. It’s design caters for a more serious date (which is excellent for those seeking a meaningful connection). Also, a huge benefit is that there seems to be a huge lack of bots or woman trying to make money off of you (which is flooding Tinder, POF, etc). This is a great environment. However, I’ll put it plainly, as a male, this dating app is a hinderance to you and, by design, makes you the one that has to fork over a lot of money in order to cast a wide enough net. The beans system is restrictive and only serves to make the company money. You are forking over money for beans to potentially get a wider net WITHOUT ANY GUARANTEED RETURN . This is almost the definition of a scam. It’s gambling, with your love life. As a male, the model that CMB proposes is a hinderance. If you are a man, it’s is on you to make your profile as attractive as possible, as the female is the one who gets the final say. It is also on you to be he one who casts the widest net. As a man, you can go several days without a match, this makes it very disheartening for men. From personal experience men swipe and like more women than women do men. For a test run, I did on Tinder me and my ex made an account on the same day at the same time, each with the same amount of photos and roughly the same bio. I had only about 3 matches while my ex had a about thirty (we swiped right on everyone). This leads me to believe that women are more selective than men are. Therefore, with the odd exception, a woman on here should have at least one match a day (if they use it regularly). For the men, it’s the exact opposite. Only the exception gets reliable returns. This system should be exactly the opposite. Women should be swiping all the available prospects while men should swipe only on those interested in them. This would help increase matches on both sides and would provide more meaningful connections. Also, the result is the same, both of you like each other. It’s also an inducer for men to start the conversation because they can see and prepare for the match as well as have that confidence boost. Also my proposed system helps put women in the subject and the drivers seat as opposed to still basically being the object, but getting the final say. The way the system works now is almost blatantly trying to milk it’s users (men especially) for money and as much as I love the way the app looks and feels as well as the people I’ve met on it, I can’t say that this is a fair, balanced dating app. I have to warn men to stay away, especially if you are lonely and desperate, from getting your money taken from you. I hope everyone’s endeavors in dating are successful, and if the app has worked for you, my congratulations.
  • Just... No

Let’s start with the beans. You need beans to “Like” Bagels. If you run out of beans, no more likes. I like CMB’s Instagram to earn beans, then got spammed by random guys who also liked the Instagram page. They were all military—Hello red flags for scammers stealing images. Also, that’s not what I signed up for. Two days in, and I’m deleting my account. I didn’t sign up for a freemium click bait app. I want to meet people. Not spend made up currency and sit around all day waiting fo the app to refresh. Back to swiping on Bumble, I guess.
  • Selection?

    By Danisings
I live in NYC I haven’t seen ONE attractive man on this site and I’m truly not that picky. Like where are these men coming from?? It’s seriously awful. And why can’t you put a filter on them for ethnicities and age etc?? My friend in Colorado is having great luck with this app over there. Maybe it’s not a New York thing.
