  • Great app! Needs evolving

Love this app! Just started using it. I would love for their team to invest in ways to use focus and zoom at the same time either by a software update or a hardware product release as an add on accessory. This would definitely help me arrive to my polished shots better. Other than that, the effort is great and the app is a must have for camera phone users.
  • Good, but requires farther development

The following features in the upcoming update will be very appreciated: 1. Recording with Stereo Dynamic Range on iPhone XS & XS Max, like the in iOS 12 stock Camera app 2. Customer Aspect ratio in order to ensure comparability with iPhone XS & XS Max screen aspect ratio 3. Save video to iCloud Files app 4. Change Zoom In/Out slider approach. The actual one is not quite responsive like the one implemented in iOS 12 stock Camera app. Previous approach for Zoom In/Out was way better

Unbelievably unstable for what it’s supposed to be. Unreliable and def will mess you up if you’re thinking you can rely on it for important shoots. Garbage

You will get random IPhone camera features with this app, if you want to get extra features you have to pay more.

Just bought the in-app upgrade (after updating to 6.8.1, Build 1010) and the app keeps crashing when I tap the gamma button- can’t even film now & simple color adjust. Help!!

Let me just say that Filmic Pro is a great camera app with many powerful features. Undoubtedly the best in the store, but after using it for a while on different projects there are some issues which hold it back: The manual ISO and shutter speed controls are nice looking but clunky to use. There’s also no ISO or shutter speed priority mode. When you lock ISO or shutter speed it locks both. You should be able to lock the shutter speed and let the app adjust the ISO automatically. Other camera apps can do this. The ISO and shutter speed values are hidden from the main interface. It’s baffling how this was overlooked. They should be right there next to the color temp. It doesn’t save your white balance, shutter or ISO settings after you close the app so you have to constantly set these over and over again. Really annoying. The fancy live analytics modes are limited to 30fps and below if you shoot in 4K. Doesn’t work with 4K 60fps. No 2:1/18:9 aspect ratio option. 17:9 shouldn’t even be in there. A custom option would be ideal. I really want to love Filmic Pro but in its current incarnation it’s often a pain to use, missing some basic features and drains your battery like crazy. The $9.99 upcharge for the flat and log profiles is also lame, especially when you can’t even use them with 60fps. A shame because there really is no alternative (yet) that offers so much potential.
  • Bad video stabilization

The Filmic pro in-app stabilization needs to be improved, definitely noticeable even with stabilization turned on when you compare it with the default iPhone camera app.
  • Needs 2 capabilities added.

Five stars if had an exposure +/- EV control similar DSLR. I see need for an over or under exposure control. For example sunsets, if lock the exposure as the sun goes down I would like automatic exposure at -7 or some other minus value for the duration. Six stars if had a photo mode. If want to take a photo have to exit to camera take the shot and come back ro the app.
  • I hope you respond, possible big

Filmic Pro with Cinematographer kit App freezes for the iPhone XR American region, AND my other iPhone XR China region. I shoot 4K, filmic extreme, 24fps, with log. I have had both devices and app freeze at different times during application running. I can’t predict when it will freeze, but if I want to make it freeze I try to start and stop recording for minimum 10 seconds and eventually the app will freeze. I check both phones on iOS 12.1.2 (16C101). Had the China iPhone XR for 1 month and American region iPhone XR for 1 week. Tried uninstalling and re-downloading with no solution to the problem.
