  • Avenza pro

    By Kelley Wisher
I paid to upgrade to pro yet every time I login it tells me I need to upgrade to do something. There is no way for me to access what I paid for. I give the app one star
  • Updated search is terrible.

    By Lastofthemany
I have been looking for a handful of maps using map search for 45 minutes. It used to be intuitive. Go to the map, find the extents, download. I don’t know what this is now. Broken. If you have maps on your device you’re all set. Getting there is now way more difficult than it used to be.
  • Upgrade is a downgrade

    By Nibor2007
The app was useful in finding specific maps but since the upgrade those individual maps are no longer an option. Must buy a bundle, but may not be specific to ones needs, like mining claims, geological formations, etc.
  • Not much use

    By Akazbw
Trying to use online help is a never-ending loop that gets you nowhere. No explanations of map symbols found. Trying to figure out how to use is difficult. There has to be better apps available
  • Love it

    By OPS Team
I love my Avenza Maps and use it all the time while out in the field collecting data
  • Colorado Walk-In Hunting

    By No88Fan
Copied Colorado Wildlife walk-in hunting maps into Avenza Maps on my phone. Used it all weekend to find walk-in areas and know where I was. Made the hunting trip much easier and more enjoyable.
  • Maps I purchased have disappeared

    By beebalm92474
Recently my phone died and had to be replaced. The maps I had purchased are gone. I refuse to purchase again what you charged me for already. You really shouldn’t have to gouge. Now it doesn’t recognize my nickname.
  • Free version doesn’t work

    By iPAID4THIs
I’m participating in a hunting challenge near me and they have maps made for this app but no matter what option I used, the app would not allow me to save the maps. It wants you to use the pro version for a yearly fee. Waste of time.
  • Over priced

    By ShaunItunes
App is extremely difficult to use.
  • Software update support team is non-responsive

    By AvidHunter1
I have been using variations of this product for nearly 8 years. Last year, when I attempted to catalog modified versions of the USGS 7.5x7.5 topo maps for Colorado, detailing game management unit boundaries for hunting, I reported a flaw in how the app presents the order in which available maps from iTunes file sharing is presented in the upload dialogue window. The software developers for the app were convinced that the list of available maps appeared in alpha-numerical order, to which I provided them proof that this is not correct, and that the list has no particular order. When someone only has a few maps in their library, this would not normally be a problem; however, management of larger map collections becomes unnecessarily frustrating, causing some maps to have multiple instantiations loaded and others to be overlooked. My original correspondence with the developers led me to believe that this problem would be addressed shortly. Six weeks after my initial report of the problem and following two updates (Jul 2019), they reported that the problem had yet to be assigned for work off. Here we are, 8 months after my initial complaint, and the problem still exists. It would seem that the company would like to avoid having poor reviews of their product by being more responsive to problems as simple as providing a sort function in a file list. This is not the case though, and the company appears to have no moral objection collecting annual fees from their customers and ignoring simple software fixes.
