  • Don't waste your time

This thing has gotten progressively worse over time. Been using it for years and little by little, with each update, they strip features that used to be free in an effort to get you to pay not only for the app, but for a monthly subscription. No thanks. It's also an Under Armour app, and aside from the general douchery of that brand, the CEO is a dingaling. Bleh. There are better running apps out there. This one is terrible now.

The latest update seem to have given me super powers because apparently I can now run a mile a minute.
  • Used to work!

So past few weeks, the app has been mapping my distances incorrectly, saying I’m at my next mile well before the actual interval. That in turn makes it seem like I’m running super fast. I thought this weeks update might have fixed it but it didn’t. I was running in a race and first it didn’t announce a time until 2.5 miles in then starting at mile 4 it was announcing times every 15 seconds but mapping out 1/2 mile distances. I had to turn it off for remainder of race. Not helpful when training for half marathon. Please fix this ASAP or gonna have to turn to another application more capable.

  • Needs improvement

Love that you can now use the watch app without the phone but still needs some improvement. Takes forever to sync after the run with the app. I can’t see my split times until after it syncs which sometimes isn’t for a day or two. Also, would like some split alerts. There is no notice when you hit any mile markers.
  • Used to love...

I don’t know what is going on, but the last few times I tried to use the app it was already running in the background and prompts me to download MapMyRun instead of MapMyRun+ but when I go to download - it says it is already running. Not happy. Please resolve!!
  • Syncing is Sad

I downloaded this app because I loved all of the stats and features it offered that Runkeeper and Nike+ do not. I was even excited to pay for the premium account, but at this point it looks like my best option is to just delete the app. It takes up to 24 hours for the app on my Apple Watch to sync my activity to my iPhone app or the website. I contacted MapMyRun for help and was given a response about opening both apps at the same time and to be patient (which felt a lot like they were blaming me for their problem), it should sync thereafter. I can wait 15 to 30 minutes, but 24 hours is ridiculous. In addition, during today’s run, the distance and pace were way off. I am so disappointed. This app has so much potential, I just wish it worked the way it is intended. *Update...I have downloaded the new update that was supposed to fix this problem. It’s been 12 hours since my last workout and it still has not synced from my watch to my phone. I tried to respond to the developers response below and every time I try to reply, I am brought back to my log in page and them my Map My Run page. No access to connect to support. Same thing happens when I try to access support from my page. This is ridiculous.
  • Great app with one annoying flaw

    By eb7250
Great app love the friends function helps with motivation. Doesn’t deserve five stars because even though it links to Fitbit account no info is transferred. And you can’t write a review without putting in a nickname.
  • Mild runs

  • Easy peasy

This app makes it super easy to track your activity and share, and store for for future use.
