  • With new update I cannot add any recipes

Every time I click to add more recipes the app turns off and sends me back to my home screen on my phone. I have liked using this app, though have only had for a short time and would really like to add more recipes so I can properly track my food! Thank you!
  • The only health app I’ve stuck with

I’ve tried lots of different apps to help me along my fitness journey and this is the only app I have been able and have wanted to stick with. It’s awesome when you track your food and are able to see a rating beside what you’ve had. Also, it’s very easy to track your exercise. As of recently, I have purchased an Apple Watch and it makes it even easier because it just takes the activity information from my watch and coverts it into the app. There is also a cool weight tracker you can use to count towards your weight goals. Tracking water intake is also nice and the app even gives you tips and encouraging words to reach your water, calories per meal, and exercise goals. I thought every app like this was the same and they all seemed so hard to figure out. Lifesum is short, sweet, and simple and I give the creators and developers of this app major props because usually I get bored within this category of apps, but this one has kept me focused and excited to use it. Thank you, Lifesum!
  • Great but inaccurate food tracking

I really enjoy this app and all of its features. I didn’t mean to buy the premium version, but I’m quite satisfied. I like how it rates your progress based on what you eat, how much water you drink, and how often you exercise. My only complaint is that there are no standard inputs for nonpackaged foods. I tried to track a banana and the calories seemed really low and the servings seemed weird. Then I googled the calories for a banana, and found that what I had was inaccurate. I tried other banana options, but when I tried to input how many grams it was, it didn’t work. It suddenly said that 2 grams was over a thousand calories. I find that this I the case for all non-packaged foods like chicken and vegetables. I’d like to see some standardized options for foods like this. I want to weigh my foods and get accurate calories, but these items in the database don’t seem accurate. Looks like I’ll just have to input them manually. It’s still possible to do that, but it’s an inconvenience when I’m paying for all this other convenience. It makes it tempting to move back to other calorie tracking apps. Otherwise, everything about the app is great.
  • Signed up was supposed to get 30% off charged full price

When going premium there was a discount of 30% listed in the app. When i upgraded it charged me the full amount. Received an in app response from support asking me for more info but wasn’t able to reply because support closed the issue, before I could respond as soon as they sent it to me. I would not have purchased the upgrade for full price. So watch out when upgrading. Bait and switch!

Everything more than just food tracking on the app requires a monthly membership - I would just stick to Under Armours app as it has better value.
  • Great app, bar code scan doesn’t work well

This is an easy to use app. I only use the free version. I can pretty much find all foods I want to log. However the bar code scanner doesn’t work well. I can’t gat many of them to scan at all. So in return, it takes longer to log my foods.
  • Not enough food options

For a paid app, this does not have many good options. MyFitnessPal has many more, accurate foods available. I even put in the nutrition facts and it wouldn’t save. Wish I could get my money back.
  • Love it! One little bug

Low this app! Way prettier then my fitness pal, just wish it was a little bit cheaper. And one bug is that after you add food it doesn’t show up for a little while sometimes, if until I leave and come back to the app. Other then that I freaking love this!!
  • Food search

I really like this app. The only thing I would like to see is more food choices in the search and an option to add your own meals.
  • Beautiful Design

I paid for the premium version and am happy with it. I love the design and functionality of the app - because it’s lovely to use, I use it consistently and find myself drawn to it to update my food and exercise. I don’t necessarily trust the macronutrients and calories that accompany a lot of their search results for the foods and drinks so I always double check those, but beyond that the app is great. Would love for them to audit their search results though to weed out the foods that are incorrect. As long as you are paying attention you can still track everything accurately, I just wish I didn’t have to double check anything new I try to add.
