  • Bad Update

    By NY City Guy
When you remove our ability to customize, that’s not good. New navigation necessitates more clicks and therefore slower to get where you want to go. I ask: is slower better? Hardly. My dog could have coded this better. “Woof.” He agrees.
  • The update is a nightmare

    By Bjartur108
NYT has made it more and more difficult to read the paper in less than six hours a day. First getting rid of swiping between articles and now preventing users from rearranging sections. I want to read all articles in certain sections and none in others (e.g. sports). Please bring back the ability to move irrelevant sections to the bottom. The ideal layout would be if users could choose a feed that updates with all articles in relevant sections that are removed after they’re read or saved for later, so it would be easy and efficient to read everything. I’m on the verge of unsubscribing, it’s become such a time sink to navigate the app after the recent updates. A few years ago I could easily read the paper on this app within an hour or two a day.

I refuse to reinstall this app until they add dark mode. Why is it taking so long?
  • Bad navigation

    By k-love78
The new most popular scroll is dumb. Please revert back to under sections.
  • Too many ads, no dark mode

    By Alejandropf44
This is one of the most expensive subscriptions I have and it feels like I got a cheap tear of ad supported Hulu or something. When I’m Airplaying video and open the app, it overrules the original Airplay to play, you guess it, an ad 😡 No dark mode support. It’s 2020 folks, time to inverse de colors of your app.
  • Copy link no longer works

    By Doug Sewell
In the current version, copy link no longer works. I try to paste the link, don’t get anything. I have to open the article in another application and copy it from there instead. Please fix this!
  • Fewer features than one year ago

    By lucius_vorenus
I don’t know what the devs are working on, but the app has less functionality than it did one year ago. I don’t see a big change in reliability. Is it worth the money? I guess. But I’d like to see more articles and the ability to hide & reorder the sections. As it is now...meh.
  • Terrible update

    By Laughlynne79
Can’t set the order of the sections according to preference, and videos everywhere. It’s be fine if this were free, but we’re all paying for this (at least for now).
  • Nice but could be better

    By DGled
I’ve historically appreciated reading the New York Times, but the recent app changes have made it difficult to love. 1. It was better when the Browse>”Sections” could be reordered and adjusted. I do not like the given order or the most popular tab on the page. 2. A dark mode is long overdue, given how much of the app background is white.
  • Stop Changing App, please!

    By Ljenz61
I love the NYT app, as it enables me to take the paper with me and read it anywhere. I do not like the new app feature that makes the reader schedules a later time to read an article. Please bring back the option to just save an article. I have no idea whether or not I’ll be able to read a certain article later! I do not like this new feature.
