  • Beware

    By georgebalek
After you accumulate multiple saved notes, they have a tricky way of making you pay to access them.
  • Lost notes

    By Sam674501
Used this app for years, now can not use it. Was it an upgrade? Lost ALL my docs. One star was a generous rate.

Years of use: > 5 # of notes: > 12k Pros: - essentially unlimited storage - dump in all important items you want to keep and delete from your hdd - tagging is super easy and makes finding groups of notes fast - rapidly find what you saved - access to all notes no matter where you are or on what device - offline works really well and able to access data provided you’ re phone has enough storage - able to encrypt sensitive items - Cons: - search function doesn’t search for the most likely match for a two + word combo but rather will give a huge list of all matches to one or the other word... it should automatically search for a specific instance of “this word” without needing to type quotes around what I am searching for. - app crashes and doesn’t save last opened note when swapping from one app to another on iOS - iPhone/iPad version can’t view PDFs within the note page - app slows down once you reach about 8k notes - app spins when there is a poor cellular or wifi connection and won’t open a note without turning on airplane mode, quitting the app, and reloading - can’t use Apple Pencil to draw inside a note freelance style but only allowed to draw inside a drawing page... this limits creativity because I can’t look at one thing on iPad while drawing out what I’m thinking in the drawing box

    Love Evernote! Keeps things organized!
  • Excellent Tool for those who like to organize info

    By RobbyG4307
I like to organize important data in my life. Some might say I’m obsessed. Whatever. In any case, I like to categorize the info and be flexible with the formatting ( e.g. check lists, numbered lists URLs that resolve, etc.). I also need my notes to sync between all my devices reliably (iPhone, iPad, Mac & PC via the web. Evernote does all of this and more! I’m continually learning about new features, tips and tricks. Highly recommended.
  • Crippling Keyboard Malfunctions

    By Erwin Hero
Has multiple issues with iPad keyboard use that renders it unusable. It’s the only application that is constantly glitchy on my iPad Pro. Every time I switch between apps, there are issues with typing, spacing, random jumping across documents which can cause unintended edits, and more. Sometimes, but not always does, switching between saved notes work. The only way to ensure correction of the problems is to close and relaunch the entire app every few minutes. With priority tasks, I am forced to use Apple’s note app which does not sync with my other devices.
  • Used for years, now deleting

    By trilife
I have used this app and online site for years with success. I don’t think there’s a doubt that Evernote was the first best notes organizer online, but recently competition to Evernote has emerged that is just as good. And, updates to the app have rendered it useless. The functionality and organization of the desktop app and the web interface are still great, but the mobile app has gotten very buggy, crashes frequently, and is almost usable. Because most of my notes originate from the mobile app first, this makes the whole product useless for me. Sorry to say that at the end of this month I am letting my subscription lapse and moving on to another product because of the poor performance of the mobile app.
  • Best note taking app hands down

    By Thomas1688
I know there’s a lot of people that say just use OneNote, Google Notes, Apple Notes, Bear, etc. but nothing comes close to Evernote in terms of usability. I use Evernote everyday to take notes and while it used to have more bugs, it’s improved dramatically the past 6 months. The speed alone is impressive.
  • Slowest app on my phone

    By eqqqxz
Evernote would be much more useful if it opened and initialized faster. Sometimes I will use other note systems, e.g. vanilla iOS Notes, just because I know I can write something down faster.
