This app doesn’t have much knowledge on succulents which is a very common house plant.

We bought this app to identify all of the wild growth in the back of our yard. So impressed with the accuracy and capability to identify everything we pictured. So helpful in helping us avoid plants we wanted to keep and pinpoint the ones we needed to avoid/get rid of!!
  • Not free!!

Another app that you can’t even use without agreeing to a free trial that you have to cancel or be automatically charged a $30 per year fee. Straight up lies that I simply can’t stand. I didn’t even get to try it, but it will be forever attached to my apple account now, irritating me each time I see it. Are there any honest companies still out there?
  • Bare minimum houseplants!

I wish I knew this prior to subscribing, but this app hardly has any information on houseplants. They lump all calathea’s into one and hoya’s don’t come up in the search at all. If you’re looking for an app to help with houseplants, I’d look elsewhere!
  • Pretty good

This app is okay. I like how it allows you to set up a care notification and it gives you a recommended time frame. However, it doesn't have a wide database of plant species. I tried searching for the plants I have and it doesn't have majority of them ☹️.
  • Great premise, not helpful if you’re not a subscriber

I must have been on an older version previously and that one worked beautifully without constant hounding to upgrade to the Subscribers version. This time I opened it to try and identify a specific type of Viola, and not only did it give my a different plant, it then pushed me to subscribe. I don’t recall dealing with that before. I would have no problem paying for a good plant ID app upfront (after a trial use of say 20 ID’s) but to ask for $6.99 a month when I have yet to see an accurate ID, is too steep for my budget. I like the functionality of it and it’s user friendly for less tech savvy patrons, but I will be deleting it- since it’s virtually useless for my needs. If you want to pay for plant care reminders etc... the. This is a good app for you.
  • I like it - but it needs work

I subscribed because it was on sale and I am a neophyte gardener who needs help. The photo identification is awesome, though I was surprised it couldn’t identify my basil seedlings. The details on each plant a very sparse and so I hope there will be investment in building out the content. For one of my plants there was no content at all other than the name and a picture. I’ll revisit this in a year and update accordingly. So far I’m satisfied but eager to see this built out more.

I’m a bit upset because I paid a year subscription for this app but it hasn’t been able to identify a few of my house plants. I’ve submitted the photos to help the app developers, but I have another app that works much better. I appreciate that this app gives care instructions, which the other app doesn’t. I’ve manually added the houseplants Blossom couldn’t identify to my garden so I still have care instructions. I just wish the identification software was better and this app would be 5 stars.
