  • Needs navigation

It would be a 5 star app if you could plot your course on the map then get navigation directions during your ride. I hope they think about adding this feature.
  • Good start for an off-road app

    By Cali_cummins
I really want to like this app as the hunting version was a mature product. Map navigation is fast and easy to use. The topo, sat, and hybrid display function is fast. The record your trip function is simple and effective for most applications. Now for the needs improvement. There is no landscape function so if you use an iPad or larger iPhone then you do not have it like other apps. Also the BLM and USFS routes are extremely lacking here in the west. They do a good job mapping the boundaries of those public lands but only seem to display the most improved of those trails/roads. Also many limited use trails in wilderness areas are not marked. Like I said earlier this app is improving and I am anxious to see what they update so I can rate it again.
  • What does it actually do???

    By mlenarto
I was thinking that I would be able to search for off road trails, but it looks like it might just track where you go? It didn’t seem all that useful. Disappointing.
  • Cool idea.

I’m having a lot of trouble finding trails with this app. I’ve looked in someone of the most popular riding trail of Pennsylvania and Ohio and along a lot of the trails I come across I’ll click on, the trail lines will turn green and indicate they’re full size trails. But when I actually click on the trail descriptions they usually say hiking trails. I would like to see off road trails marked differently, and I think a great idea would be to have a selection that highlights all off vehicle trails in your location or a location you’re searching. I really like this idea, but there’s not an actual way to see trails separated for full size, sxs, quads, and buggy’s.
  • OnX Offroad Saved My Life

    By carlnclancy
I recently fell on hard times, lost my job, my house and had to start living out of my car. One day a well dressed gentlemen named Henry approached me and offered me the job of a lifetime. All I had to do was accompany him and his hunting buddies on a trip and assist with whatever they needed. At the end of the trip Henry said I would earn $50k. At first I was apprehensive, but after Henry set me up with what must’ve been thousands of dollars in new outdoor gear I was sold. These guys had deep pockets and I was in no position to turn away such a fantastic offer. It wasn’t long before I found myself on a small plane headed to a secluded cabin in the wilderness. That first night was beyond decadent. We ate, drank, smoked cigars and had a great time as we got to know one another. That night I slept better than I had in months. If only I had known then what I know now. The next morning we woke bright and early to get ready for our first day out. Henry’s mood that morning seemed to have drastically changed and I started to worry that maybe I had drank too much the night before and gotten on the bad side of my employer. So as we solemnly ate breakfast I asked if everything was alright.. it was then Henry revealed that they hadn’t been totally honest about my roll on this expedition. I was no hunting assistant, I WAS THE PREY! They gave me an hour head start and let me choose one provision. I could take either a knife or a phone loaded with the OnX Offroad app, I chose the latter. Anyway to make a long story short I ended up killing all the rich guys and used OnX Offroad to get the hell out of there. Luckily this all happened in Canada so I’m pretty sure I’m good telling you that I killed a bunch of dudes. Thanks OnX Offroad, you really came through for me! In all seriousness though I love this app!
  • No private land info

    By deehumter72
Trying to get info on private property like on x hunt had, just says info not available on anything but public land. Please help.
  • Mostly useless!

I have a number of areas where I regularly ride ATVs in Texas. None of them are on this map. In fact, I found NO areas that you could ride on this map! In other states, like New Mexico and Colorado there are some trails that display, but there’s still a lot missing. And all the informational in this app is already fee to obtain from state offices. Apparently there’s still a lot of work for the developers to do before this is even close to being ready to go.
  • Landscape mode

I used OnX Hunt for two years now and love how it works for hunting. Never had any gripes. This app is almost a pure copy of that app but..... That's not a good thing. Needs a few tweaks that cater to the off-roader. Also this is going to stir up some controversy in the riding communities. I live in Michigan. I am looking for a good app for snowmobile trails. When I get on the app you have all the snowmobiling trails labeled well on there but when I sort by rides there is nothing labeled for snowmobiling just all sorts of wheeled vehicles. And in Michigan most snowmobile trails are actually closed to ATV/SxS/ wheeled vehicles. And vice versa for snowmobiles on ATV trails. If someone didn't know any better a person using this app could ride on those trails when they aren't supposed to and risk angering property owners that could revoke access to those trails. Next thing you need is a better layer sorting system here. The hairline dashed trail lines are difficult to see and even more difficult when out on the trails in bright sunlight. I think giving an option to change the lineweight/thickness and color would be a good bet. And if that is too complicated for coding purposes maybe just select a more bold and brightly colored line. I think you guys are on to something great as having a membership for one app that can do all these different hobbies is awesome. Keep up the good work this is on the right path.
