Disappointed as they immediately tried to trap me in a paid version with a confusing process for opting out.

This app did a good job at identifying birds. I got it to use with my grandson... and then some idiot had to post an inappropriate picture! This was not OK. So I canceled.

I have four apps like this one that are by the same company and I love them all! I have the best little bird, a twenty year old amazon double yellow headed parrot. Long name, right!? Turns out, I can just call Emerald a yellow headed parrot! But what I really love is that they give you multiple suggestions on what the bird might be! Definitely a worthy app!

It is so fun to identify the birds around my area. Whenever I’m golfing or hiking I can quickly snap a pic and impress my friends with it! We have a riparian habitat near by and there is a new and different bird there each time. Well worth it

  • I do not understand why this app does not employ location technology

I am using the app with Sibley Bird book and of course location is a central piece of narrowing choices. Since so many apps use location services for no apparent reason, why doesn’t this app which would benefit so much. I am also confused as to why some birds do not even have a photo. That does not strike me as a finished product or something that you can ask money for. I’m using it for fun but definitely seeing major shortcomings along the path which seem easily fixable by developers.

I have used this app on an iPhone XI. So far it has not identified a single bird correctly. It will not use the zoom capabilities of the phone to allow me to get a clear picture. I am sorry I got it

I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how much I am enjoying the ability to identify the various birds in my backyard with this app. Initially I was apprehensive when I saw the annual cost. However after using it for the past few days I can truly say it’s worth every penny. It has been spot on!
