This app refreshes itself itself every time it is active so you lose whatever you are viewing.

This app is embarrassingly bad given the company that wrote it. That is only allowed because said company also has no shame in their actions no matter how terrible or illegal they may be. I used this app for Ignite 2019. For that it was Somewhat useful but failed in ways that are really dumb and easily fixed. 1. App was responsible for displaying event lists. The lists were sorted by event time (that’s good). But the event lists were long and at the drop of a hat would bounce you to the morning even if it was 5pm. This would cause you to have to scroll through 10 pages of events over and over and over and over again every afternoon. 2. They tried to do something cool with interior maps. They were eye candy but horrid in function. Hard to scroll, hard to read, maps kept jumping back to default orientation and position as you panned around. 3. Hang ups. Especially on android phones. Poor network reception (separate problem at event) would cause event lists to freeze. You couldn’t even look at your selected list to see what you were planning to go to. Opening the list would cause a hard hang likely due to being stuck in a loop knowing there was an internet connection but it being so bad it was unusable even to load a text list. So many times droid users were without a reference. The app is a good idea. But it looks like they had an intern spend 4 hours coding it at a total cost of $40. Hopefully they scrap it and try again.

“My Schedule” tends to jump around. Seams like it always wants to jump back to current time. Make sense if focus just came back to it, but it jumps back even when just scrolling through the schedule. Also, the “Download video locally” link doesn’t provide a way to save the mp4 on an iPad, it just plays the video.

Does not sync with my calendar, and no option to share sessions with peers. I have to take a screen shot and text it over.... works well for searching for sessions. But I did that on my PC before I arrived. I really need the app for real time activities

The on-demand video plays OK but on my iPad, the controls are not visible, and there is no way to pause the video.

To many time I used my left thumb and removed sessions from my list. 5x on Monday it crashed out on me. Which made me miss two sessions. Lost notes in 2 sessions. Notes section doesn’t allow photo attachments.

This app is well thought out, well executed, and has a nice array of options (browsing available sessions at conferences, building a personalized agenda, maps of the event, syncing, networking etc). There are two things I found lacking, one in particular: - can’t exports sessions to my device calendar. This means I can’t see my day at a glance - I need to switch between the calendar and the app. Very frustrating. - doesn’t support split screen on iPad, again making it hard to see both the calendar and the conference events at the same time. Still useful overall when attending Microsoft conferences.
