  • Incompetent

    By llihgdots
Amazed an Oxford-associated product could be so incompetent. Literally within 5 seconds of opening the app there’s a howler. When picking languages Japanese is rendered as “日本人” rather than “日本語”. The first means Japanese person while the second means Japanese language. You literally could not make. More fundamental error with a language than failing to name the language correctly. What an embarrassment! How could you trust anything from this app?
  • Missing a lot of words

    By MathAppFinder
I found a lot of missing words. It will be nice if the app can let users to submit new word suggestions. I look all over, and pretty sure that it doesn’t have this feature. I hereby request a new feature for submitting new words to add to the dictionary.
  • Arabic

    By Farah Aljubouri
There is no Arabic language in this app and few languages. Not useful for all people 👎🏻
  • Super Dictionary

Love it we have used it in our home for a long time I was excited with getting it on line.
  • NOT the real OED

    By enzo.cobain
The OED is the original English dictionary. I prefer Oxford dictionaries over others because of their depth. And comprehensiveness. Is that a word? Probably not. This app I find to be really limited. When it was on sale for $4.99 I paid for the upgrade, I suppose mainly out of loyalty to the OED. This app is just OK, though. It WILL give you a proper definition. At this point, though, there’s still no substitute for an actual paper dictionary. The most useful book I bought in college was the OED Advanced Learner’s Dictionary, paperback, for about $20 in 2006. Do yourself a favor and get something like that. 🙏🏼

  • No dark mode

    By aaaaggghhjjkkmnn
I’ve found only one dictionary app that has dark mode and this isn’t it.

  • Developer responds to feedback

    By Kjmathew
I use this app on a daily basis with Google Translate, Linguee dictionary, and a verb conjugation dictionary app. The developers fixed this app within a couple of days when I mentioned in an earlier review that the audio pronunciation wasn’t working. Thank you! I updated my review to 5 stars for this app.
  • Too soon to tell

    By Exapno Mapcase
So I’ve been using the free app for years. As a happy customer of the old school case bound OED my dissatisfaction and disappointment with the app version is to be noted and hopefully some one other than customer satisfaction dweebs will pay attention and remedy this. Too many times I have tried to get a definition from the app version and been let down. So to sum up not five minutes ago I was digitally badgered into subscribing to the pay version and without one breath I am immediately besieged to rate and review. Come on people be for real. True rating at this time is NO STARS. Cut the crap and get to work. The real OED is venerable this app so far is a joke. Hey just my opinion.
