  • skimpy

    By RS Field
For what this app costs, it is a very skimpy dictionary. I wish I could get a refund. To say it is underwhelming would be an understatement. I recommend the ‘Dictionary.com’ app.
  • Really annoying

    By petefromptown
Too many commercial intrusions to buy other Apps. Not good for the user and it demeans the OED brand.
  • Persian

    By Devils Never Cry
Great app yet I ain’t bought it since it ain’t got Persian language, should you add that to the list of languages, I will purchase the app

I had high hopes for the legendary name of this app; it’s hugely disappointing, difficult to navigate, tied to the Oxford dictionary also a HUGE disappointment, for Pete’s sakes every time I go to look up a word I get an advertisement ( truly, EVERY time), and the translation app is a labyrinth of “wait, no, that’s not what I need!” Go back to the drawing board guys, you oughtta be ashamed of your tech trashing of this great Dictionary.
  • Good dictionary

This dictionary has the Oxford dictionaries in many languages. The color scheme looks nice. You are able to cut and paste a whole bunch of text and see the definitions in a sentence or paragraph. There is the International phonetic alphabet for the French words, which makes it easier to learn the pronounciation. The developers should change the word 日本人 to 日本語 because the dictionary is about languages, not person, race or nationality. If you are persnickety, Français should be lower case because Français means Frenchman while français means French language. I believe languages is not capitalized in other romance languages as well.
  • App Won’t Run

    By Hello, it's me..
When I run the app, it automatically crashes. I am running iOS12 on an iPad Pro.
