The latest version keeps crashing. Every few minutes or so, it freeze and need to close and reopen the remote desktop session to get it working again. Somtimes have to kill the app completely and start it agian. Its been 2 months and the issues have not been fixed. Sent multiple crash reports to MS and Apple.

I’m using Microsoft Remote Desktop to work from home (covid-19). It is fast and reliable (as good as my internet connection and work VPN). The connecton stays up as long as my VPN connection (sometimes days). I’m glad Microsft has developed and continues to maintain the Remote Destop app for macOS. Use: To access the following running on my remote work machine: Outlook, puTTY, tools with web and native GUIs, QtCreator and MSWord (frustrating to edit when internet is slow, and more. Set-up: Mid-2010 27” iMac I3 running macOS High Sierra, Microsoft Remote Desktop version 10.3.11, VPN to Windows10 on Dell Precision I7. Internet connection: AT&T DSL (measured half the latency to the work place vs. the local cable ISP).

This app works great for full and secure desktop connectivity. I did have some bugs when leaving it in idle for too long, but they immediately updated it once and twice, along with notification of ceasing further updates for Apple. This is a sign of a trustworthy company that wants the best for it's users. Importantly, they show wilingness to concede for sake of greater deed.

Im using remote desktop while working from home and the program crashes/force quites anywhere from 5-30 times a day. Huge disrutption to work flow and on occasion causes programs to crash unexpectendly often losing work. unfortunatly I dont really have any other options to get my work done.

Microsoft remote desktop just stopped working on my Mac out of the blue. To try to resolve the issue, I updated my Mac to 10.15 and MRD to the newest version available but I am still getting Error 0X204 message when I try to remote in to my work PC. I called Microsoft support but the customer care rep was just patronizing and unwilling to work with me. Now more than ever, we need MRD to work from home but Microsoft does not seem to be getting the message. What a shame.

…but the 10.3.11 update crashes when opening. 100% of the time (on macOS 10.14.6). Update: Just downloaded Version 10.4.0 (1790) Beta from the site they give in their description and that version works again.
