  • Very disappointed

The questions aren’t the best written
  • Ultimate CISM for a reason.

Great review and practice preparation materials. Everything is referenced in the current manual therefore you know you are not missing anything or being mislead. Will report back in a month. Great customer service as well! Shout out to Shealyn for helping me. Thank you!
  • dev needs to read crash logs and fix threading

    By aitrusnc
All versions of the PocketPrep apps display the same problems. Frequent hangs/freezes, crashes, and lost data. Reading the device/app logs (by connecting device to Xcode) shows most of the problems are due to poor thread management. Long activities on the main thread being system halted after timeout is exceeded, or threads trying to dispatch work to themselves. This is sloppy coding. And, it’s obvious they reuse the same code across all of their apps. If I put my device in airplane mode, these apps do behave better... further confirming most of the freeze/crash occurrences are within the thread management of network calls and SQLite data updates (which is clearly indicated in the crash logs). I contacted PocketPrep directly about data loss from app crashes, provided details, got an automated reply, followed by absolutely no response from them. As much as I like the idea of these apps and the progress tracking features, it’s nearly addictive when it works, the reality is these apps aren’t stable and the metrics data is gibberish. In hindsight I should have spent the money purchasing additional books and avoided these apps like the plague that they are.

Great app for CISM exam preparation
  • Be careful about using this as the exam guidance

    By zhuchok
Pocket Prep spots hands-down the best user interface and features among all the iOS test prep apps. The majority of practice questions are written in excellent English—all with precise official exam study guide references. Why then I am giving a 3-star rating? At least in the case of the CISM app that I am rating, the practice questions look like the real stuff (e.g. “What’s THE FIRST thing you do...” or “What’s the BEST option you select...”), but they are often confusing and misleading in terms of shaping your feel for the real exam’s logic. The real ISACA exam question options are validated by a team of subject matter experts in terms of accuracy of the question material AND question options logic. Pocket Prep clearly does the former, but often fares poorly on the latter. Use this as a convenient supplemental study aid, but rely on the official ISACA Practice Exam Questions to develop and sharpen your “exam sense.”
  • CISM Review Question in an app

    By Mkaydmm
I believe this has all 600 question from the CISM Review Questions 9th Edition. It has some really good features for reminding you to study as often as you specify, tracking your progress overtime, the questions missed, the categories which you’ve missed those questions and your overall passing scores over time. If you’re serious about passing the CISM I strongly recommend this as a good “in-between” study source.
  • Makes me feel stupid

    By AndrewZa
I have the CISSP and CAP certificates. This app has so many questions that don’t make any sense, incomplete or improperly written that it makes my head hurt. I would not buy it again. Stick to official QA database
  • Passed first try.

    By Ken Bridge
This app was so helpful in helping me pass the ISACA CISM test on the first try. The questions felt a little harder then on the actual exam, which caused me a little concern the day before the exam, but when I actually took the exam I felt pretty relaxed after the third or fourth question, and completed the exam and reviewed it, in just over 2 hours. Planning on taking the CISA, and CSSIP in the future, and I definitely be using the Pocket Prep apps! Thank You for the help...
  • Passed the test!

I just passed the test today. I think this exam was harder than the real test! Great app for preparing. Some QA issues on this app though
