  • The absolute BEST Calendar/Task/To-Do app!

I looked and looked for a calendar app, with INTEGRATED to-do/task lists, that was CUSTOMIZABLE, and finally found Informant5! It is everything I wanted and MORE! Thank you, thank you, thank you! (There are a few more customizations I’d like to see available, but overall I am extremely pleased!)

I’ve been using Informant for years now. I would recommend it for anybody to use as their main calendar. I especially like the high Rez icons that can be viewed in the Month view. Keep up the good work guys!!
  • Watch Complication Not Working

Informant 5.36 announcement included watch complication is fixed. If you are looking for a watch complication don’t get this app. Watch app remains buggy at best, over 6 months waiting for it to work and still doesn’t perform 100% of the time. Company continues to move backward while collecting subscription fee. So being a subscriber, how long do you expect people to wait for an update which fixes watch issues? The response that I received from support is that there is no timetable due to having to work on Mac update. Unacceptable that subscribers paid for a year , yet program is only 2/3 complete. Did all of Apple updates along with Informant 5.3 update and watch interface does not work. Support advised me that they did not work on watch and it would be an extended period before it would be fixed. Sorry but being a subscription service should not give you the right to pick and choose which parts of app you want to work on. I use watch complication multiple times a day and now useless. Wish their update notice would have said it wasn’t working. I would have probably waited until it was working to do update. Update 10/5/17 Reinstalled last version 4.xx of Pocket Informant and the old Watch complication work like a charm. So if you are a long time user you may want to switch back. Amazing how things are going backwards instead of progressing forward. Fanatic Software Please Take Note
  • Best calendar app!

I love that I can see an entire month at a time, including the details of each day...not just a dot like the standard calendar on an iPhone. Scrolling is easy, the to do list is quick to add to and seamless with each day’s view. The custom repeating function is fantastic as well. This calendar has met all my calendar needs for several years. Fantastic!

  • Great app

I have used PI for many years. The app is great, but I gave it four stars for two reasons. First, I don’t like having to pay a yearly subscription fee for an app that used to be free. I understand the business model, but it is a violation of expectation for someone who had used the app so long. The new features are mainly in the periphery. They are not related to core functionality. Second, the documentation and getting started videos are OK, but not great. I stopped using the app for about a year because I didn’t want to pay the fee, and getting setup again was quite a task. For instance showing all my calendars, from multiple sources, without duplication, took me a few days to figure out. Still, I have tried other apps for this purpose and I have found anything better.

Have a premium subscription and a flight I had a 8 AM in Atlanta the calendar was telling me to leave at 7:19, obviously not working since it boards at 7:30 and I live 38 miles away north of the airport. Anyone who has ever traveled through Atlanta knows that isn’t happening
  • Informant is the BEST

Folks, I have over the last several decades attempted, and failed, to efficiently integrate a one stop shop for my productivity needs. Since utilizing (what used to be Pocket Informant) that all changed. I run three successful businesses from an iPhone and an iPad Pro. I can do this because of Informant, it syncs seamlessly to everything I use (iCloud, Gmail, Evernote, etc...)., and best of all it NEVER crashes or malfunctions. I don't write reviews like this often, but this company has done it right. For those of you whining about it not being free or having to pay for the sync service, well I don't know what to tell you, nothing in life is "free", and if you have replace your paper planner annually/quarterly that can run as high a $100.00. Investing in yourself is something ALL of us need to do and the price charged by this company is MORE than fair. That being said, please don't raise the price if you, the company, are reading this. Anyways, I have an incredibly busy day ahead of me and I know exactly how to make it all work with my Informant 5. (Unpaid review..., just FYI)

The developers comment to my criticism of begging for reviews was:”The one star rating does not accurately review the application nor does it help other potential customers to know anything about the application. “ My response: are you trying to control my review? Are you presuming to tell me how to rate you? Or to invalidate my criteria? My review tells you 1) that I highly value Not being interrupted. 2) this application did interrupt me 3) that I gave you the one star review as a consequence. You may not agree with the criteria. I don’t care. You asked for my review by my criteria. You don’t get to tell me my review was not accurate. I paid for a year subscription. I thought it was ok... but found things3 much less cumbersome to use. I abandoned informant5 shortly after my purchase. Your application is, in my opinion bloated and over-designed. It tries to do too much and lacks elegance of a simpler, more focused app. Subscription cancelled. Deleted app

I’ve had zero issues with this thing. It works for me as a free option, and though I won’t necessarily use all of the purchased options, I’ll still buy it to support this awesome company. Couldn’t be happier. Thanks so much for this, y’all.
