GyPSy Guide’s narrated driving tour for Grand Teton National Park, is an excellent way to enjoy all the benefits of a guided tour while you explore at your own pace. There are 160+ audio points that play automatically along the scenic drive, featuring the best things to see and do, stories, tips and driving directions. Professional tour guides share advice on how to prioritize your time at recommended “not to be missed” viewpoints, suggested side-trips and places of interest. Tours work offline, using free GPS signal and location services, so no data roaming, network, or WiFi is required while touring. It’s Just Like Having a Tour Guide in Your Car™ WHAT TO EXPECT: Grand Teton National Park is a visually stunning place like no other. The Teton Range pierces up through the flat valley with peaks at over 13,000 feet. At the base of the range, lakes formed by ancient glaciers provide dazzling places to go hiking and sightseeing. And as part of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, it has abundant wildlife viewing opportunities, including moose, elk, bison and both black and grizzly bears. A tranquil contrast to its immediate neighbor to the north, Yellowstone National Park, it completes an epic road trip with dramatic mountainscapes, animal sighting, historic ranches and cabins, all easily accessible by vehicle. The journey starts as you drive through any of the 4 main entrances, continuing along the loop that includes the 26/89/191 highways along the Snake River to experience the entire park drive route. Along the way we discover how the Teton Range are some of the youngest mountains in the world, but with the oldest rocks. Relax and soak up the panoramic views of the Teton Range and surrounding valleys as we cruise to the elevated summit on Signal Mountain. You’ll hear the stories of settlers and ranchers as you wander alongside homesteading era structures at the Mormon Row Historic District, such as TA Moulton Barn and at JP Cunningham Cabin. Of course, we head to Jenny Lake, where you can jump a scenic shuttle boat and hike the many popular trails. Keep your fingers crossed and eyes peeled for wildlife along Moose Wilson Road, perhaps stopping to visit the Laurence S Rockefeller Preserve. With all the extra stories, tips and directions, you’ll enjoy a road trip drive around the Grand Teton Loop, made easy. WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Some of the highlights along the route include; • Grand Tetons • Jenny Lake • National Elk Refuge • Laurence S. Rockefeller Preserve • Moulton Barns • Menors Ferry • Snake River Overlook • Signal Mountain • Jackson Lake Lodge • Colter Bay • Jackson Lake BATTERY USAGE: ++ Continued use of GPS/Location Services in the background increases battery usage. We strongly recommend taking a cigarette style (DC outlet) car charger. Avoid using a direct connection to the USB port of a rental vehicle. IPADS: ** iPad models must include a GPS chip. Please note that Apple only install these on the iPad Wifi + Cellular models. Wifi only iPad models have limited location service capabilities and are unable to play commentary automatically. DOWNLOADING: The apps are larger in size in order to work offline. You must be on wifi to download as the store may block the download over cellular networks. ABOUT US: GyPSy Guide™ produce award winning narrated audio tours along scenic drives and road trips around the world. • Amazing resource

These guides are terrific. My husband and I had been to both Grand Teton and Yellowstone multiple times and we discovered places using these guides we didn’t know about. My kids (6 and 10) were fascinated by the information and alwasyz reminded me to turn the app on because they wanted to now about where we were. We learned about natural wonders, history, geology! The narrator’s voice is pleasant and the guide works seamlessly, even without cell service. I will not hesitate to buy these guides again whenever there is one for an area we’re visiting!!!
  • If you Get Yellowstone get this one too

  • Best Tour-At-Your-Own-Pace App

    By Hulasensei
We used this for four days in Grand Teton National Park. It was literally like paying $100 per person for a live guide, but having the ease and capability of starting and stopping when we wanted to (which you can’t do with live tours.) The recommendations were spot on and geological/history we learned about the area was fabulous! We Enjoyed it so much that we downloaded GyPsy for Yellowstone and had an equally incredible experience!! I will be recommending this app to all friends and family!! We will be purchasing more from GyPsy soon!! Well done!!!

We found this app very helpful. As first time visitors to the area, it not only explained if and/or why we would want to visit certain areas, but it explained some history to the area that we might not have otherwise learned. Extremely interesting and easy to use. I would highly recommend this app!
  • Love it but....

Update to 5 Stars ... After I found that it does not play well with the Bluetooth in our Ford. There is a support desk number under their help menu. When I called, I got thru fairly quickly and he suggested it could be the charging or Bluetooth. Through the process of elimination we found that it was the Bluetooth. Happily Ranger Rick was able to guide us around Teton and we look forward to having him with us on future trips. Feel it does not play well with other apps? Every time we stop and I use my camera or another app the sound quits and I have to reboot my iPhone. When works it is great!
  • Sucked

Didn't work. Tried every single fix listed. What a waste of change.
  • Awesome App!!!

We used this fantastic app to tour Grand Teton and Yellowstone. For the price of a can of bug spray -- it was literally like having a professional tour guide in the car. SO MUCH useful information. Definitely helped us prioritize our 3 days in these 2 parks. THANK YOU GYPSY!!! For anyone wanting to be super prepared for your visit -- you could use this app while sitting at your desk, looking at a map and listening to the descriptions and advice.
  • Essential, and entertaining

We got the GyPSy Guides for the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. Hands-down, these apps proved essential and entertaining. Download ahead of time before you head to the parks. The friendly, avuncular ranger voice shares a wonderful array of trivia and driving information, even when your phone has no cell connection. The apps use the GPS and worked flawlessly. You knew which way to turn, well ahead of time, with plenty of information and stories to help you decide what you wanted to see. I give the GyPSy Guides 10 stars out of 5.
