Read on to learn about the great capabilities of iAnnotate: IPHONE: Now you can use iAnnotate on your phone, with all of the great features you’ve come to expect on your iPad. IPAD PRO: iAnnotate works great with the iPad Pro. Automatically annotate when you use the Apple Pencil and easily pan, zoom, scroll with your fingers — no tool switching required. Get more work done with iOS multitasking and smart keyboard shortcuts. ANNOTATE: Choose from the pen, highlighter, typewriter, stamp, straight-line, note, underline, strikeout, photo, voice recording, arrow, rectangle, circle, and date stamp tools. CUSTOMIZE: Drag and drop tools to your custom toolbars. Swipe between toolbars, or open the Toolbox to access all your tools. ACCESS: Connect with Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive (including OneDrive for Business) or open PDFs directly from email and other apps. SEARCH: Search documents in your local library and throughout your cloud storage. SHARE: iAnnotate saves your markups directly to the PDF, so they can be viewed and edited in external PDF readers. WEB MARKUP: Open a web capture tab and find the site you want to mark up. iAnnotate will convert it to a PDF for annotation. NAVIGATE: Explore your documents by thumbnails, bookmarks, annotations, or search results. UNLIMITED TABS: Open multiple documents in tabs, and easily navigate between them, on both tablet and phone. TWO DOCUMENTS: Work on two documents side-by-side, for even greater productivity. MANAGE: Arrange documents by folders and sort contents by date added, date last opened, or alphabetical order. CREATE: Create brand new PDFs with blank, lined, or graph-paper pages. MODIFY: Add, delete, rotate, and rearrange pages in your documents. SUMMARIZE: Forward a summary of your annotations as an email or a new PDF. SECURE: Full support for the iOS Data Protection and Keychain functions. • Terrible offline support

    By Plot Whisperer 42
I loved older versions of iAnnotate. This version, not so much. Offline support is terrible. You can explicitly download files, but I don’t always remember until it is too late. Why it doesn’t do this automatically, I don’t know. If you like to read your documents online, get something else.
  • Memory Problem

    By EMP_2011
To developers response, regarding to Memory Management, I never said that I am using iA3. I bought iA4 and this memory problem occurred on iA4! Why are you assume iA3? Why? Are you trying to show this problem is my fault using old version? It's funny. ------- Vertical and smooth scrolling is excellent. This continuous scrolling experience is fantastic. And this is why I like iAnnotate PDF and this differentiate from Goodreader which provides only very unnatural vertical scrolling. However, this has some critical problems. 1. Memory Management I put into this app 6 PDF files of 10GB in my iPad. With working and annotating one PDF file(which is 1.4GB), this app occupies my iPad from 10GB to 20GB. The iPad starts to warn me to remove some app or files. At that time, I was using only this app, iAnnotate. This app has a terrible problem of memory mgt. With annotating big size PDF file, this app fails to manage file size stably. 2. Page numbering consistency I have scanned paper books into PDF files. To make PDF scanned file page number with original paper book, I am using Acrobat Pro and use two page numbering system. However, this app is using two file system and this is confusing. I hope to use one numbering system like Goodreader. Goodreader uses modified page numbering system. This is better. I think.
  • I-A 4

  • iA 4

    By Work wasted
I have recently been having problems transferring files by Dropbox. I thought the new version would resolve the issue. It does not, but more importantly all of my PDF's in iA 3 have to be transferred to iA4. They do not self import. Working with iA4 directly is less intuitive and it can only transfer files singly unlike iA3. I definitely do not view this as an improvement. Update: 6/2018 The support staff are always very helpful when they can be. But this version is terrible. I can no longer search my files by content. With over 2000 journal articles I can only search by title. It is worse than worthless.
  • WebDAV support again! Thank you!

    By BigAl1776
Revising to 5 stars for adding WebDAV support again!
  • Many improvements

    By s.g.MD
My previous review stated that many of the features from the original did not make it to 4. Since then they have added these features: -double tap for recent tools -local storage -copy and paste between drives -increased stability
  • Copy all and paste all

    By TV Diana
I use the app for TV scripts and rundowns however I really need a way to copy all annotations and paste in a new document. Scripts are updated often and it’s a pain to individually copy and paste all my annotations. Even drag and drop when two are side by side would be helpful.
  • Useless app - no annotation offline

    By student990
This app is useless offline. No annotation is allowed or saved offline. The older version had the auto save feature that would take care of this. The new app, which I just purchased, removed this essential feature. I would like a refund. Wouldn’t have purchased it if I had known how terrible this new app is.
  • Continue Fixing Search, Please

    By kasilbr
Update: I posted this review AFTER the most recent app update, and it really isn't fixed. I keep checking for new updates or hoping I missed something, but every single time I click out of the search, the entire search disappears. I'm happy you've started to fix the new issues with the search function, but I DESPERATELY need the search and the results to stay after I've clicked out of it. I often search something with 20+ results, and need to click on each and every one of them to check them in my document. I cannot possibly re-search the same word 20 times and then have to remember which instance I was on. I'm really not sure why you "fixed" something that was never broken. My work flow went from seamless to clunky and time-wasting.
  • Struggles with PowerPoint

    By ShanRemski
I’m in veterinary school, and while I love the ability to markup and take notes directly in presentations, this app REALLY struggles with opening large PowerPoint files.
