The New Yorker Today app is the best way to stay on top of news and culture every day, and the magazine each week. Features: • Get a daily blend of in-depth reporting, political commentary, cultural criticism, and humor from the Web site. • Read each week’s magazine and browse past issues. • Receive alerts on breaking-news coverage by your favorite New Yorker writers. • Flip through a nearly endless supply of New Yorker cartoons using the Cartoon Randomizer tab. • Access The New Yorker Sticker Pack. Download the app, add the extension to iMessage, and liven up your texts with Christoph Niemann’s signature drawings and animations of city life. • Read articles off-line and save stories to finish later, on any device. The app is free to download. Subscribers receive unlimited access. Non-subscribers may access a limited number of articles each month. Most current New Yorker subscribers have unlimited access to the app as part of their existing subscription. Subscribers with a print-only subscription may not have unlimited access. Users who have trouble accessing unlimited stories, or who wish to upgrade their access level may call Customer Service at 1-800-967-2082. All users have unlimited access to the Cartoon Randomizer, which does not count toward the article limit for non-subscribers. All users have unlimited access to the Sticker Pack, which is free to download and requires iOS 10 or above. A subscription costs $8.99 a month or $89.99 annually, and includes a 30-day free trial, after which it will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period and will state the cost of renewal. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user’s account settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable. Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. The New Yorker Today app requires iOS 9 or above. • The New Yorker makes my week !!

    By The Cyber Artists Association
...Though being a Deep South Guy I ignore their political comments (Hope I don’t get edited out for saying I love what President Trump has been doing which I...and many unreported others...feel like has been much needed), but the New Yorker each week has GREAT fresh stories and stupendous Cartoons. I spend MANY very enjoyable hours each week with The New Yorker !!! GREAT magazine !!!
  • Printing?

    By BradleyBee
Why would it be to the magazine’s advantage to block the ability to print directly from the mobile app? Tiresome!

Position in article is not saved when the app is closed
  • Fraud

    By Gary223897
This place is a fraud. I sign up and might get an article or two and then no more.
  • App always puts you back to the front page

    By parka9
The app is fine when I’ve dedicated myself to using it. However, it promises to remember where I last left off, and it never does. Even if I don’t fully quit the app, if I close it briefly – for example, to quickly answer an incoming text before reverting back – when I open the app again, I’ve not only lost my place in the article I was reading, but I’ve lost the article altogether and am taken back to the front page. So I have to type the article title back in the search bar and then scroll past multiple paragraphs to get back to where I was just seconds prior. Pretty annoying, and on bad days or when I’m reading a good article, infuriating.
  • Doesn’t save my place in the article

The app Doesn’t save my place in the article when I access other apps and come back. Very lame for a publication.
  • Cares more about delivering ads than content

    By cudima
Popping up full screen video ads is not ever ok. Having animated ads in a reading app is not ok. Not saving place in articles is annoying. (Also probably because of ads - otherwise not clear why page needs to be reloaded every time I switch back to the app. No other reading app I have has this problem.) Besides that it’s good. But this is enough to turn me off from reading. Today’s pop up was the final straw. I’m switching to the browser. I’m a customer. I pay. I love the content. You are undercharging for it. So charge more instead of spoiling my reading experience.
  • Adware

I did not purchase a subscription to the New Yorker in order to have video ads shoved in my face mid-article.
  • Flashing ads are really annoying

    By Menhir777
I love the material that The New Yorker presents and generally I find that the app presents it quite well. But, many of the pages have animated ads that are very distracting and cheapen what is otherwise a very pleasing experience.
  • Glitchy

Constantly getting the paywall message even though I have a subscription and have been subscribed for the past 5 years. Then I sign out and sign in again and still can’t get access. What’s the point of paying all that money if I can’t even read it?
