Description

Microsoft Cortana is your smart personal assistant. She helps you keep track of your most important stuff, across all your devices. Cortana responds to your voice and has an answer for what you need. Cortana wants to know your favorite things. Tell Cortana your favorite artists or sports teams, and she will give you timely and relevant updates. Cortana helps you stay on top of things, 24 hours a day: - The latest news stories, served fresh and personalized to your interests. - Track your important flights and incoming packages. - Calendar awareness. If traffic is a mess and you need to leave home early to make that meeting, Cortana has got your back. - Reminders based on location. Have Cortana remind you to buy groceries when you drive past the local supermarket. - Reminders based on commitments. Have Cortana remind you to follow up when you promise someone something over email. Here are some things that you can say to Cortana: - "Remind me to buy groceries." - "Start a shopping list." - "Tell me something interesting." - "Bitcoin to USD." - "What's my schedule today?" - "Where's the nearest Starbucks?" - "What's up?" - "Will it rain this weekend?" Cortana is constantly learning, with new capabilities being released every month. We encourage you to give Cortana a try and share your feedback with us.

I’ve been patient. My personalized news feed has underwent multiple changes in the last year. I’ve dealt with the same stories for multiple days. I’ve dealt with some of my topics never updating even though I know other apps are showing news stories related to those topics. I use Cortana for a quick search, but mostly for a quick overview on my personalized feeds. Now that’s gone (almost, takes three clicks to find it now), replaced with yet another music control app and some attempt to link devices I don’t own to my home. I’m done. Deleting this. Already deleted it on Android and wrote basically the same thing on their update. What a waste of real potential.
  • I loved it on Windows Mobile. What a shame.

I liked Cortana for the reliable function, finding things that I needed and exactly as I asked them, and also for showing me news. The app for iOS does not function the same way at all. It isn’t as intelligent (offering up a NPR podcast instead of the news I was asking for (“what’s the latest headlines?” will bring up the podcast...) There is no news feed.only calendar and reminders, no matter what I do in settings. Uninstalled. I will work with something different though it will make me sad to do so.
  • Want to like it, but it never works

I enjoyed using Cortana on my Windows phone (Windows 10 Mobile), and I generally don't mind it in full Windows 10. I used to use it for reminders and as a source for daily news, however on iOS (and particularly on an iPhone) the app refuses to function as designed. The news feed doesn't update properly, and search only works about 5% of the time - usually it tells me there's a network connection problem, even though this is the only app on my phone that ever seems to find a network problem. Due to this search issue, and how clunky reminders have become over the past year, I have been forced to stop using this app and uninstall it entirely, since it more or less serves no function at this point.
  • Not letting me add a Xbox skill

Won’t let me connect to my Xbox one even though skill had been added... also what happen to dark mode and the option to open Cortana ready for voice? This version is more of a downgrade...don’t update if you haven’t

I used to be a Windows phone user and loved it. It all came back to not having apps. So I was hoping you could use Cortana with my iPhone. However, it would be great if you choose it with office 365, It would be much more functional.

  • Advertised Text Sync Doesn't Work

Windows 10 claims that you can read your iPhone text messages with this app, but the functionality just flat doesn't exist. Cortana might be better than Siri, but don't advertise notification sync when the function doesn't exist.

I wish I could have better things to say, especially after using on Windows Mobile for so long. There are lots of bugs and half baked features that just make it not worth it. Searching for images is broken and doesn’t display properly. The voice command is slow and often times out before connecting. Connectivity in general is a problem. Location-based reminders are broken too. In general, it’s become a glorified search function.

The interface doesnt support well to add new devices. Had very bad time trying to setup my HK invoke through cortana app for iOS. Wasted 3hrs trying to setup. No use. Tried tech support no response! Going to return device and uninstall this app!
