Scholly takes the hassle out of the scholarship search process so you can focus on what’s important - getting free money for school. We have helped students win over $100 million in scholarships so far, making college affordable and dreams a reality. Scholly was created by Christopher Gray who won $1.3 million in scholarships through grit, sweat and hustle. In realizing how broken and time-consuming the financial aid and scholarship search processes were, he created Scholly to make things much easier. • Limited Access

Sadly, you need to pay for different subscriptions to access possible scholarships that you may qualify for. As a Free Member all you have access to is a few articles and sample essays, but not enough to actually keep the app saved on your phone...
  • Don’t Forget Where You Came From

    By Rob56283
I downloaded this app because of the unique story the founder had applying to scholarships on a library computer because he was not even able to afford a smartphone. I was very surprised to see that he then wanted to charge money to use his app, as the free version has very limited resources that are not very helpful. Very disappointed in how you sold out because kids like you aren’t able to afford to use this resource. Would you have been able to use this service that costs $30, Chris? Seems very hypocritical and like you’re part of the problem, not the solution. I’d urge anyone who actually needs financial aid to use free services online that don’t profit directly off the backs of students just looking for help.
  • Nice app, perhaps not worth the price.

    By Christipher DiCesare
I got the app when it was first released for a flat fee of $2. I am told the cost is more now. It’s great to locate a ton of available scholarships. However, and this isn’t the fault of the app or developer, it really kicks you in the gut to see hundreds of thousands of dollars available out there, filling out essays and papers for tones of money to get none. I’ve done this for every semester, for three years writing and writing and writing, and getting nothing. I could use the help, I’ve been battling cancer while working full time and going to college and money is very tight. The app complies a list of available scholarships relevant to you. For a $2 down payment for me that was fine. I’m told it’s a monthly subscription now. For that amount bs what I’ve gotten out of it, it’s a bad investment to already stretched finances. Pick a weekend, use google and compile your own list for free. However if it’s a single payment for a reasonable amount, go for it.
  • Not worth it

The app doesn’t have a diverse set of scholarships. It contains a set amount which everyone who has the app applies to and that creates greater competition. If you really want to win scholarships then don’t the old fashion way and research online.
  • Read the terms of agreement!

    By Lar.rose
I knew this was too good to be true. Towards the end of the user terms of agreement, in bold letters, it states that the rights of any content that users produce is transferred to Scholly. This includes any ideas, essays, or media that you post! They specifically state that they then have all rights to that content and are allowed to modify it, publish it, and even market it if it’s a marketable idea. I think that this is wrong on so many levels, as many scholarship applications specifically ask you about ideas one may be wanting to pursue in their academic future. Just another example of a big company taking advantage of desperate college students. Shame on you. 👎
  • If you can... go for it!! | MUST READ | LOVE!! With one exception

Having just made an account on Scholly, and read about how the app came to be, I was extremely excited to use the app. This app is unique in that it is easy to use, and narrows the scholarship search by allowing the user to check boxes that apply to their circumstances. This app is also beneficial because it provides examples of winning essays. In addition, articles are available to users that give tips on obtaining and improving scholarships, as well as tips for studying. It was to my surprise that something so game-changing came with a price. I shortly discovered that in order to get matched with a scholarship you must pay a monthly fee. Upon reading his story, Christopher Gray mentioned that growing up, he was an intelligent and capable young person, who unfortunately was poor. I can only imagine the amount of people with a similar story, or worse. The bottom line is that $2.99/ month is a mountain to climb for many. Although one could argue that a job is an application away, some just don’t have that type of flexibility in their time or wallets. I’d hate for others to not have access to such a great app, that connects others to free money, simply because of a monthly fee. I highly recommend Scholly. The only recommendation I have is to make this app free to all users. I understand that this task may be challenging for the developers, but as a young person in high school who is unemployed, paying a monthly fee ( as low as $2.99) is challenging. As much as I love the app, I will not be using it for this very reason: price. Christopher Gray: I’m not sure what goes into making this app what it is, but I truly believe you can find/develop a way to make it completely free for all. An app as valuable as this is needed because it is leading others to where the money is. Money means education. And education, for the most part, is how most of us are able to build sustaining careers for ourselves in today’s society. I hope my feedback is helpful. Thank you for your commitment to playing a vital role in the advancement of the education of others. You’re doing great work!
  • Scholarship??

    By Monsinia
I did the application, filled out the whole thing and it brought to a “write and essay” section but only had a sample essay but nothing as far as submit an essay. So as far as I can see there were no scholarships available. If there was a scholarship available then why is the app pushing me towards an essay for a scholarship when I cannot submit for one?
  • Did not want to subscribe

    By unsubscribemerid
Tried to scroll up and it subscribed me. Then went out of the app and while I was trying to click out of something else, the app popped up with the confirmation window that required my fingerprint when I was clicking for something else. Ridiculous!
  • Would be great if it worked

    By lilythedog97
The app has stopped working for a while and continues to just load. I’ve used it before and it’s been helpful but I haven’t been able to use it. Please fix the bugs :)
  • The stole your money

    By Adcrismr
I have a degree in Law and I was looking a scholarship for a Master in Law (I’m a refugee in the US) which this App doesn’t do. I have no job and I canceled this freaking subscription in iTunes but, not directly into the App so they charge me for the entire year for something that is garbage for me. Do not waste your money on this!!!
