Description

Eliminate 99% of spam calls. RoboKiller is the call-blocking app created by humans and powered by AI. Our patented audio fingerprinting technology uses machine learning to stop your phone from ringing with annoying, unwanted calls. You can finally live spam-free and never miss a legitimate phone call again. NEW in RoboKiller 5.0: CALL SCREENING WITH AI-POWERED FINGERPRINTING. RoboKiller now provides an OPTIONAL layer of protection against random number spoofing. Using real-time audio algorithms, RoboKiller identifies spam calls from randomly spoofed and fake numbers before they ring your phone. Being able to receive legitimate calls is just as important as blocking unwanted ones. While RoboKiller fingerprints calls to detect spam, it screens for real human callers. If the call isn’t spam, we’ll tell you who’s calling and why before you answer. Unwanted calls get eliminated, while your food delivery or ride-share driver can still reach you. But wait - there's more! RoboKiller doesn't just block robocallers and spammers, we annoy the hell out of them, too. Spam calls are sent to clever recorded messages called Answer Bots so they can see what it feels like to have time wasted. Finally, get that oh-so-sweet revenge on robocallers. PREDICTIVE CALL-BLOCKING POWER RoboKiller screens all unrecognized calls with AI-powered audio fingerprinting technology. 24/7 UP-TO-DATE PROTECTION New spammers are continuously added to our global spam radar so your phone never rings from unwanted calls. GET REVENGE ON ROBOCALLERS Fight bots with bots! Answer Bots deliver payback in hilarious fashion, sending spammers to clever recordings that you can listen to later, driving them crazy and giving you the last laugh! RoboKiller has been featured on The New York Times, NBC, Wired, Engadget, Vice, and other publications. RoboKiller is built by people who hate robocalls and respect privacy. We promise to never sell your data, spam you, or waste your time. Our mission is to stop robocalls forever, or die trying! The set up for RoboKiller now requires you to forward all your calls to them for analysis. I have tried many times to make this work, but I get an error message each time. I give up. Will not renew my subscription.
  • Broken after update

Used to work well — I enjoyed being spam free for about a year. After recent redesign update, it required new access to my phone carrier settings, which I felt uncomfortable about. I could not read the “more info” disclosure because it did not display correctly on my iPhone SE (small screen). I activated the permissions anyways to try it, but immediately had problems. The app now blocks all calls, including family. Sometimes it shows them ringing and when I click answer, the call fails. Many of the help pages in RoboKiller don’t render properly or get cutoff on my small screen, and the app doesn’t give enough explanation for the permissions it requires. I no longer trust it and have disabled it and canceled my subscription. If they fix these issues then I will consider buying it again.

None of the screens seems to match and calls doesn’t seem to be screened and the app doesn’t recall all the inbound calls. Beyond the test call, nothing ever gets recorded.

This app was good to screen calls and some got thru but plenty didnt. Now i am getting zero calls coming thru so need to figure out a way to delete.
  • New version routes all calls through them

With the new version, you have to route all calls through RoboKiller. That means giving robokiller full access to your microphone and all your calls, which is ridiculous. Of course they say they don’t record your data, but that’s just their word, plus they can change the terms of service anytime. Beware of what you are granting RoboKiller access to by using it.

Just deleted this app. It used to work well, before the big update a couple months ago. Since then, it’s been a confusing mess. I’ve noticed several times when trying to answer calls that it prompts me to allow call forwarding (to screen the calls), which I have set up every time, yet it still prompts me to set it up the next time. Doesn’t sound like a big deal, except when I answer a call, I have no control over the call functions (mute, speaker, dial pad, etc.) until I set up call forwarding. I just feel like the app has been more trouble than it has been convenient since the update. Seen a few other reviews where users can’t get the app disabled even after canceling, so we’ll see if it works for me.
  • I don’t like the latest update

I’m reviewing with 3 stars because it doesn’t seem like you can contact customer service or any kind of interactions with people. Just frequently asked questions that take you nowhere. I recently purchased this and love what the app does. But with the latest app update, it’s removed the live button so you can hear real calls in action. To me that’s a very important feature. This review would be 5 star if the update didn’t change options we had and has limited maneuvering now on the app

Waste of time and now there is no cancel subscription button to stop the charges. Small claims court?
