  • Love the game but it keeps kicking me out???

I have been playing this game for close to 3 years now but lately the game closes right in the middle of when I’m decorating a room. Any idea on a fix would be greatly appreciated.
  • I Really enjoy the game.

It’s a wonderful game, the only reason I’m giving it four stars is because I’m not used to being so financially unstable. I keep finding myself compelled to buy more expensive thing due to the lack of cheaper items sometimes. It’s manageable, I’m just not familiar with being so low on currency in games. However, I’m quite new to the game, and am sure that it will become easier as I progress. Also, unlike most games there isn’t a soundtrack. I don’t mind providing my own music, but it’s strange to have no SFX when I click on certain things and attain items. It’s somewhat eerie if I’m being honest, and I think that it would be more relaxing if there were a soundtrack to complement the general theme and SFX because, that’s just what I’m used to in most games. Overall, excellent game in need of a soundtrack, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone fond of interior decorating as I am.
  • Love this game but awful glitches

I’ve spent an embarrassing amount of real life money on this game. It’s been a guilty pleasure. They have limited bundles that you can purchase, and I did. There were several items that I really liked and stocked up on. Some I got about 100 items. Everything’s fine. I don’t play the game for about a week and SO MANY items that I paid real money for disappeared from my inventory. Two things I had over 80 of, totally gone, not a single one left. Maybe about 7 other limited items that I had varying amounts of 30-80 of each, have dwindled down to 5 while I was gone. I contacted support about one item before I noticed the others gone and she replaced 60. Okay that’s nice but I paid for 100 of them. And then she suggested that I used them all because she could see that I had used say 60 of these items in my room before, so it makes sense that I have none left. As if I’m an idiot. I never said I had only bought 80 of that item EVER. Just that I had 80 left last time I used the game and now there are none. The game is great and addictive but I can’t in good conscience suggest getting this app or spending money until this problem is resolved and something is put in place to prevent this from happening to paying users.
  • Perspectives are way off

I use to really love this game but after playing it for a few months I’ve noticed that the perspectives are become more and more off. This wasn’t the case a few months ago. I’m not sure what happened but it needs to be realistic to be fun. On one challenge, no matter what bed I put in, it seemed to looked like a kids toy in comparison to the couch. Somehow the sizing is off. I wrote to them about a month ago but they still haven’t fixed it. Otherwise this game would be amazing.
  • Developer only cares about in app purchases

I can see myself immersed in the Design Home app, for hours on end. However, I feel this company only cares about making money with in app purchases. The game concept is built all wrong and the rewards earned extremely unfair. - Why are designers charged for the price of furniture? A designer’s job is to put the design concept together for a fee. The client pays for the furniture. The game concept is all wrong and does not correlate to real word experience as making money with in-app is their top priority. - In what world does a designer pay $15-20+K on purchasing items for one design and only get rewarded $500? In comes the in-app purchases, which you will need to spend on again and again and again 😞😫😡! - If you charge full price for furniture, then why limit to only 5 times? I get that you’re trying to make money off this app, but it’s beyond reasonable. If you really want to limit the use of each piece, then don’t charge full price!!! Offer a trade discount at the very least, although this concept still does not make sense.. - The daily & design challenge rewards at $500 each are not enough to keep entering challenges with the high price tags and design requirements. Each challenge has a different set of requirements making sure you keep spending on in-app. Again, I get that this is a business and you need income/profit but this is really outrageous. I think a better concept would be to open opportunities to earn more cash/rewards and to earn bonus diamonds based on votes accumulated for each design based on the level a designer has achieved. - I also hope that when voters are presented with two designs, they are at the same levels range, otherwise it wouldn’t be fair to compare a beginner level with an advanced designer who has access to more design options, which I don’t think is a good concept of real life. All designers have infinite design choices, but their talent & experience sets them apart. Again concept is wrong, especially if you have an interactive game where people are voting. - WRT to the design brief, perhaps it can be more interactive or descriptive, showing the room layout before you enter the challenge. I see many designers with potential who don’t get votes because they are trying to stick to the challenge description and architecture layout of the room they’re creating, but sadly don’t have enough money to complete all items in the challenge, only the requirements. This for a designer is truly frustrating as we want to present the best possible design while meeting the clients brief and budget. - Budget is another concept totally lacking in this app. Perhaps you can work that in. - I also see so many designers getting top scores for all the wrong reasons. For example, I’ve seen outdoor furnishings used indoors (what???). I’ve seen contemporary design used when the challenge brief stated Mediterranean or Farmhouse. The challenge does not mandate the furniture options based on the brief description, it only mandates a few items that are required. Either modify this concept where a designer has to select choices based on the style requested or leave it to the voters to decide which design they get to vote for, and also if the challenge brief was met. - Vote scores should earn rewards and enough to sustain more challenges. In the same respect, a designer should not earn as much if they did not stick to the brief of each design. - The ability to sort, search by keyword and filter in our inventory would be a wonderful addition. This would help decide on whether we want to enter a particular design or not. - Also please add option to sort by price, search by keyword while in the design challenge. Filter is nice but not enough. I would love to keep playing the Design Home app. I don’t even mind paying for in app purchases (which I’ve done) but right now, I don’t think what you’re charging and how often it’s needed based on your game concept is fair. Perhaps a better way to do it, is to have a free ad version and a no ads option for a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription to keep playing.
  • Expensive to play

As many of the reviews have stated- this game is addictive! However, the ability to earn diamonds is so flawed and limited. The judging aspect of the game is unfair, as it seems random who you are matched with. Even the location of your design on the judging screen can impact a player’s decision. It should be a little more balanced where players are competing against those of equal levels within the game. However, my biggest issue is that is just so expensive to play. You get 500 diamonds daily, and can earn up to 300 more by watching videos- which are earned at 15 diamonds per video for no more than 20 videos. I don’t have that kind of time!! And considering one potted plant can cost an average of 1000 diamonds, it makes game play and design very difficult. Another way to earn is to score 5 stars on votes for your designs. However, due to the flaws in the judging, that’s very hard indeed. Additionally, one can earn diamonds through completing tapjoy ads- purchases or surveys. I did just that and anxiously awaited my 23,000 plus diamonds only for tapjoy to never deliver and give me the run around when I asked about delivery. So, while super fun- it’s just too flawed to play anymore or waste any more money on .

I got this “game” to play with some designs before moving into a new home. First off this app does require purchases to play any more than one challenge a day bc you constantly need new furniture. I wanted to design my own home but I’ve been playing for a couple weeks and have only unlocked 4 rooms. Additionally it’s not clear that when you get a new item you can only use it 5 times. Overall very limited without paying, when you do pay again limiting challenges and the advertised functionality of creating your own home space is just not there. Deleted after I ran out of diamonds and dollars after one challenge for the fifth day in a row.
