  • Need another game

Love this game . Waiting on Crowdstar to develop another game for us to play ! Suggestion : on the Way Back challenges , the game should show the old score on the past design so we can compare how we did
  • Apple users pay more

    By Smesa86
I absolutely love this game however I am very disappointed in the fact that apparently Apple users are charged more money to buy the same thing as android users. Why is this? I have no idea and apparently neither do the designers of this game. I was supposed to be charged $2.99 for a package of accessories and was charged $6.98. Why? Because I have an Apple phone. Does that make any sense to anyone? So unfortunately, I will be deleting this game and not playing anymore. I just don’t think it’s right that I am going to be charged a different price then someone else simply because of the type of phone I have. Just wanted to spread the word. Since I was unaware of the extra charges and I’m sure neither do most of you all.
  • Fun game but needs improvement

Message to developers and responses to other reviewers. Developers, please read both and respond Developers: -Too expensive to play! Consider a subscription option for $10/mo. (To anyone reading, this is very reasonable considering how much you actually spend on this game a month). -vet your third party vendors in the free diamond section. I want to trust them because you’re allowing them to advertise on your app but many of them seem shady. -increase rewards for design submissions and earning 5 stars -increase the amount of furniture uses from 5 to 6! Typically, two pieces of the same type of furniture (except couches) are required per design, but when we’re only given five, we have one left over and either have to buy more or find another way to get rid of it. This is especially true (and very frustrating) with the dining chairs. The games calls for 4 or 6 chairs leaving you with either one extra or one short. -better prizes! The same old gray/beige couch is boring and I’ll often use it as an opportunity to get rid of unwanted furniture because I don’t care about the prize, just about the money for submitting the design. I’d also suggest an “ideas“ section. Since rewards often consist of furniture with odd colors, it’d be nice to see a few examples on how to use those colors in a design. -Allow us to trade In unwanted furniture for gems or cash depending on the currency used to buy it. Let’s face it, there are just some things I don’t like and never will -When creating, why can’t we insert more than 2 unpaid items at a time? It should be unlimited. When you restrict to two items, I cannot accurately gage whether the items I want will all match. So I’ll have to buy a few items if I want to see how they look with the other items and if I don’t like it, I just wasted money on something I won’t even use and have to spend more money to buy something else. -remove the price tags from view when we hit the eye button! It’s hard to see how it looks with the tags in the way! - Filter things by price, size, and currency type. Sometimes I’m looking for small ottomans and it’s frustrating sifting through a bunch different sizes. Sometimes I’d prefer to look at things that I can buy with cash instead of diamonds. -indicate the style(s) and color(s) of furniture in its description. Sometimes I like the color of a piece of furniture and want everything in the design to match but Idk what filter to use since it could pass for several different colors like brown, tan, beige, bronze, etc. -allow wall art, floor art, and table art to be sorted by color and style. -put filters on personal inventory. Sometimes I’m looking for something and can’t find it in because it’s all a mess -allow us to put items in a shopping cart and view its contents in and out of designs. Sometimes I’m stuck between buying 2-4 different items but it’s hard to find them again. I’d like to use the items from the shopping cart to see which looks better in my design or buy them later when I have money. -include dates on completed challenges, allow us to scroll through our old designs by swiping left or right and also continue to see the designs that earned five stars for that challenge -change cost of non required items (like wall art) that can be unlocked at lower levels to cash instead of gems. -Give more keys for rating designs. Votes are such an integral part of the game, it should be encouraged. I’d suggest one key per rating and reducing the amount of keys needed to 20. -include the style of furniture in the description of the designs we’re rating and maybe a pop up link explaining what those styles generally look like. -I know I can see my total design value, but please allow us to see a numerical value showing how close We are to reaching the next level instead of just a bar. -make sure the 2 designs being compared are truly random. Too often similar designs are rated against similar designs but doing that ends up giving higher, or five star ratings to horrible designs and much lower ratings to those with great designs. -increase access to locked items for each level! I shouldn’t have to wait until level 50 for the next unlock. This gives an unfair advantage to those at really high levels. Higher levels do warrant access to more things but the amount of time that elapses before earning those shouldn’t be so long, especially since leveling up isn’t very easy. -decrease the amount of home points needed to design a room in your house and change the prizes on costal home. When am I ever going to use a mixer or toaster in the game? -allow accidental purchases to be returned within a certain time period if it hasn’t been submitted in a design. -fix the disappearing furniture glitch. I’m tired of buying something Only yo have it disappear from my inventory. Also, fix the app glitches! Too long to load. Reviewers: -Unless a design clearly doesn’t match the theme, like using outdoor furniture in a French style living room, ppl shouldn’t be penalized for it. Knowing what the theme is would be helpful when voting but focusing too much on whether a luxe item was used would be way to time consuming and would discourage voting. also consider how expensive everything is, sometimes you have to improvise when you don’t have everything needed for the theme. -if you feel both designs don’t match the theme or don’t like either, use the equal button! They get neither credit or penalties when you do this.

I have played Design Home since it first launched. During that time, I’ve had a few different accounts across a few different devices. I’ve spent a fair amount of money on gems - my choice entirely - to advance and enhance my experience. (I’m aware that many find it ridiculous to spend actual currency on a virtual experience, but some like going to the movies, some like buying Kindle books, and some like playing an online game.) The point here isn’t really the money I’ve spent, as I have it to spend and enjoy having access to a wider range of design choices in Design Home as a result. The point IS that, despite having spent money on this game and despite the fact that those like me are ultimately the very reason a game like Design Home can exist, maintain, and expand, I have received absolutely NO customer support regarding an issue I reported to them several days ago now. After receiving 2 ridiculous auto-generated messages about them being busy, I’ve heard nothing. I have since messaged them twice more, to no avail. As I expressed in one of my messages to Customer Support, I can certainly empathize with a heavier workload causing some delay, but you’re not running the New York Stock Exchange over there, Design Home. It’s a design game, and I have a very difficult time believing you have so many customer support requests that you can’t manage to resolve an issue in under a WEEK. If this is how long-time players - and, let’s be honest, supporters/income generators - are treated, I see absolutely no reason to continue playing. While the choice to spend money is my own, I expect to receive what I’ve paid for. When nearly every single design in my “My Homes” comes up missing with no explanation, I’m not getting part of what I’ve paid for. That Design Home clearly doesn’t care is both insulting and telling. They want players to spend their money; they just don’t want to have to actually deal with the problems that arise during the course of running a business. Unless you intend to play fully for free - which can be extraordinarily frustrating for many - I would avoid this and try to find another satisfying alternative. Eventually their poor treatment of customers will catch up with them and someone else will finally come along and supplant them, which they will richly deserve.
  • Beware of the tapjoy rewards

    By Sektogo
I have made multiple purchase to gain free diamonds however you need to keep up with it and make multiple screen shots of your purchases so u can show proof you did it. And even after you send it they need other info, I am still waiting. However if it’s the magazine subscription they credit your account within hours of your purchase. Big scam if you aren’t watching it.
  • No access

The game looks great so I got it but it won’t let me get into the game and I’m supper confused!
  • The Voting is a joke!

    By Vmarsich
Yes, this app is fun for the HGTV watcher who enjoys imagining what a new room design could look like but the actual system for voting on designs is just a joke. There is no science to it and people who’s designs don’t even follow the challenge directions get high marks for reasons that are beyond explanation. People who spend more money have a huge advantage in the “game” because they have access to more prizes and more accessories. So, if you like just doing designs for yourself, enjoy! But if you were hoping for an app that gives you any meaningful feedback or opportunity to gain a real understanding of design, good luck ... I think you will be disappointed!
  • Keeps crashing

    By 1234578990
I really love this game, however recently it’s been crashing every few minutes and I’m getting extremely frustrated to the point I’ve given up on it. My other games play fine so I know it’s not my phone or internet connection, so whatever it is it’s not on my end. I hope it gets fixed, but if not it’s too frustrating to play, as I also lose all my progress on the home I was currently working on. Disappointing.

  • Beginning to not be worth it

    By Carra232323
I was addicted to this game but it’s starting to be less enjoyable. As others have said it’s hard to score high and earn prizes without spending money, which I had spent $70 and it didn’t last but maybe 2 weeks. Something that also drives me insane is the computer generated rooms and scoring. Some of my worst rooms will pass while some of my best that I use extra decor on such as plants/photos etc don’t pass. I look at some of those rooms who earn the 5.0 score and they’re often computer generated names with rooms full of things. In other words, if I want to get ahead in scoring to earn prizes and continue to enjoy this game I’m going to have to spend more money which I just don’t find worth it.
