About this app
Thought Desk is a fast, local-first notes workspace inspired by Notion, designed for high performance and low memory consumption. Built using Rust, Tauri 2, and TypeScript with Svelte components, it offers nested pages, a block editor, full-text search, databases, assignments, a calendar, and a file library. It achieves a tiny memory footprint (around 115 MB RAM) by utilizing system WebViews, a size-optimized release profile, offloading storage work from the UI thread, and suspending background resources when minimized. It is optimized to scale smoothly across thousands of pages and massive databases without lagging.
