Description

** App Store's Editor's Choice ** *From the team at ORIGINATOR - the creators of the beloved Endless Alphabet and Sesame Street's Monster at the End of This Book and Another Monster.... Originator is a team of passionate artists and engineers dedicated to the best education+entertainment apps for kids.* As a follow-up to Endless Alphabet, set the stage for early reading success with Endless Reader! This app introduces "sight words", the most commonly used words in school, library, and children's books. Kids need to recognize these words by sight in order to achieve reading fluency. Recognizing sight words is advantageous for beginning readers because many of these words have unusual spelling, cannot be sounded out using phonics knowledge, and often cannot be represented using pictures. Kids will have a blast learning sight words and their context and usage with the adorable Endless monsters. Each word features an interactive word puzzle with letters that come alive, and then a sentence puzzle with words that become what they describe. See the word "dog" as a barking dog, and the word "up" reach for the sky! ** NOTE: You must be online and have sufficient disk space while running the app to get all words in the app. ** Features: - 6 words free to try with additional word packs available for purchase. - Delightful animations reinforce sight recognition of words in a fun and interactive way. - Word puzzles reinforce spelling using lower-case letters and the sentence puzzles teach definition and usage (in addition to sight recognition). - 3D Touch on iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus makes letters and words react in an extra special way! - Endless Reader was designed with your children in mind. There are no high scores, failures, limits or stress. Your children can interact with the app at their own pace.

It really is! This application got my not so curious in words or letters child to give this one a try! Simple but smart & I am looking forward exploring more words & different levels of this application. Thank you for this great, fun learning tool.
  • Shouldn’t buying word pack one bring down the price of the bundles?

I bought word pack one (kind of accidentally, but i would hav wanted it anyways, and now I want the bundle for 1-4. Can I get a discount on the bundle or return word pack 1 so I can buy all four?

I bought the bundle pack and one of the apps won’t work and says my device is jail broken when it isn’t. I don’t even know what jailbroken means. All of the other apps work but not the reader app. I spent $60 to get all four apps and knelt three work

This has been the best reading utility I have found on the App Store. The only one worth spending money on. My two year old loves it so much and has increased her understanding of letters, words, and sentences massively! It’s fun and interactive and it rewards her in many different ways. She is interested in learning at such a young age and it’s amazing! Update: we decided to spend the money and get the level packs. My daughter is two and a half now so we have had this app for about six months. She recently tested past other children in many categories, and I attribute that largely to this app. I’ll be starting my younger daughter on this as soon as she figures out a touch screen. This is the most amazing reading application/tool I could possibly imagine. I tell every parent I know about it. This company kicks serious butt.
  • No Checks on the Learning

I really had high hopes for this app. I bought the full version from the beginning for $30. Now as my 4YO is going through it... there’s no way to ensure she is really learning what is being shown to her. There is no check/test/quiz or something. You can’t even select a sub set of words to continue studying. It’s really annoying and I’m really displeased with this app that I spent money on. I truly feel like it was waste.
  • Beware of purchases

This app is expensive in the first place, and after I bought the complete pack for $29.99, I ended up paying for it twice because the difference between school version and the regular version. Instead of restoring my purchases on a second device, it ended up charging my a second $29.99. That part really stinks. The app is nice, but only sorta worth $30, but definitely not $60. Very frustrated.
  • My kid loves it but I'm not sure he's really learning anything

My kid likes this game a lot. But I'd like there to be a setting to require words to be spelled in order. He already know his letters so he's just dragging them onto the model word in whatever order he pleases. He can't possibly be learning anything useful about spelling or reading. This feature seems so essential that I'd gladly pay extra for it -- although honestly, I can't believe it's not the default.

After letting my daughter play with this for over a year, I suddenly realized how well she knew the sounds that the letters make. Her preK teachers confirm she is close to reading! Thank you ER!!

The only reason this isn't getting 5 stars is that the words should light up or be highlighted as they're read in a sentence and it would be helpful if they repeated how the word was spelled after the letters are dragged in place. Other than that this app is absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend it. My 2 year old loves it!
