  • Annoyed

I am too annoyed with the app to even try it. It is constantly asking me to update my weight every 2-3 days asking me if i have lost any weight. I put in my initial weight when I downloaded it 2 weeks ago but i dont weigh myself everyday so there is no reason to ask me so many times.

It won’t accept my weight and won’t let me go on without putting in my weight. So I can’t used this app at all.

I’ve used lifesum for the past year and have mixed feelings on the changes. It used to be so much easier to check my progress. I also LOVED the mini milestones they offered of 3-5 pounds. I loved hitting those milestones and felt like a bigger deal to me than just hitting the next 5 or 10 pound mark on a scale. Also, at some point they lost my progress and said I had only lost 2 pounds, which was really disappointing to me. It was very helpful for me to look back on the chart going back many months to see the steady progress toward my goal. I decided not to pay for premium again this year and deleted the app. Developers, if you are out there, please bring back the little milestones for users again, and make sure their progress data doesn’t get lost between updates.

I can’t give a real and honest review of this app because it constantly and consistently crashes every time I try to open it.

Love the app but, when I pay this much for an app I don’t want to see an ad at all.

App keeps crashing. Too many premium only features.
  • Food database difficult to work with

When scanning prepackaged items the information was incorrect almost every time. Fresh foods were often wrong as well. Wanted me to update weight daily. Going back to MyFitnessPal. I get that the weight reminder is just a simple settings change. So I can give a pass on that. However, your dismissing the fact that the calorie tracking is inadequate is poor customer service. Yet another reason to choose superior products.

I love this app honestly, it’s set up nice, I had my fitness pal before but ended up forgetting about it and never tracked my food or anything. I’ve had this app for about a month now and have kept up with my tracking the whole time! there’s only one thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars, more types of exercises need to be added. it has the basic kind but I’d like them to be more specific. but otherwise it’s a really fun tracking app, I’ve lost 7 pounds in the month since I’ve had it, I’m sure it could’ve helped me lose more but I’m taking the whole healthy eating thing a little slow so I don’t drive myself crazy😄
  • Great app, but don’t pay for it!

I like how this app gives you a rating for each food you eat so you are more aware of what you are putting into your body. However I don’t feel like it is beneficial enough to pay for it. The app doesn’t have tons of foods you can search like on MyFitnessPal which is frustrating. A lot of foods i do search are off on calorie count. Makes me question their accuracy on macros as well. Also they have a cute smiley face that rates your food choices but the smiley face isn’t always consistent when you get the same exact food.
  • Has Potential (Free Version is Very Limited)

Clean look, fairly intuitive to use. Unpaid option, however, is pretty limited. I like the thought of having recipes tailed to my diet but this is a paid feature, as is connecting your other fitness apps, like Fitbit, and personalized recommendations. So the free version is basically a food/calorie tracker. This app essentially combines the free apps Yummly (recipes tailored to your diet) with, say, My Fitness Pal or Fitbit into a paid subscription. But it’s not worth it, in my opinion. I would use if it were free. Ads would be ok, especially for health-related products. Also, the quiz for my diet lists many allergens but leaves out soy, which is one of the eight most common allergens (and is an allergy I happen to have).
