Keeps me from watching videos I don’t want to waste time with
  • Not impressed.

The reason I downloaded this app was because all other apps like safari, google, YouTube etc. all stop the music when you exit the app, and because of other reviews, I thought that wouldn’t be the case. However, you have to buy YouTube red for the music to continue playing.
  • You'll like it.

Easy to use and navigate through once you get the hang of it. Just a couple days I got it figured out. The button that turns video off is nice. I'd like to see song and album information, like year recorded.

  • Sign-in is mandatory

Unlike the YouTube video app, it seems there is no way to use this app without creating an account and signing in. Data harvesting.
  • I wish it contain youtube features

We need to see the songs release date The app need a little more improvements (the play in background is not as good as the YT app) The songs stops when moving between the home screen and the interface) 18:9 iPhone X aspect ratio need to be treated like the YT app. Double tap to skip 10 seconds The release date is the most important thing i believe in addition to dislikes and popularity
  • Annoying after the update

After updating the app, my YouTube Red subscription had to be renewed. And then when I opened the app, my offline playlist will not play many songs, it has an error I can’t even click the songs. Same with my downloaded albums, the music has an error symbol. I even went as far as to redownload all of my albums and playlists as an attempt to fix them and all the songs that had errors before still have them. I can’t even listen to them out of my playlists or downloads. It’s completely messed up I can’t listen to my favorite music or albums. Please fix this there’s no point in me paying $13 a month if I can’t even listen to the music I’ve saved specifically.

I’m seriously sick of these apps trying to get you to sign for premium crap. I can’t lock my phone and listen to music or I can’t select a specific song, or I can’t skip anymore songs..... SCREW ALL OF YOU, I’m going back to torrents!!
  • The main reason to pick Google Home over Amazon Alexa.

    By trojandnc!
Being in IT and being an owner of both the Google Home and Amazon Alexa, many of my friends ask which is better. The first thing that I always mention is that if they pay for any additional music service like Spotify the like. Most people do. I tell them to cancel whatever, spend the same 10-ish bucks on YT music and it gets you everything! While artists fight over what streaming service can play their music (at the fan’s expense) the ALL put videos on YouTube. In fact there is a famous pop star that once released an “album” that was all videos and no physical cd. Try playing any of those songs on streaming services. Now sign up for YT Music and ask your Google Home to play any of those songs. Voilà! That in itself makes YT Music invaluable as no one has the $$$ to just up and start their own video channel that can compete with YT Music. Winner = FANS! Get YouTube Music or Google Play Music now because if you subscribe to one, the other comes with the subscription.
